cyclone
Despite the intermittent rain, the racing was decent and very competitive, with Diamonds unlucky to have Lewis Rose fall and sustain a nasty injury during ht 12. Up to that point the scores had been level, and the final outcome was in the balance. Here is a facebook link to the post match analysis, including interviews with Robert Lambert & Sam Masters :- https://www.facebook.com/edinburghmonarchs/videos/1492643774105055/ Uncharacteristically, Ludvig Lindgren had a major strop with with the Start Marshall after ht15, whom he allegedly called an f-ing cheat because he wouldn't move Masters over in gate 1 before the start. Well for Ludvig and anyone else who is interested, here is a short video on facebook of the start of ht15, which you can judge for yourself :- https://www.facebook.com/mike.hunter.9693/videos/1538433849540589/

Also ludvig took up a similar position on the outside of gate 2 towards the vacant gate 3 previous to the start of the video and the "jock" of a starting marshall moved him back. 1 rule for the home team another for the away team. Gr8scot
Best wishes to Lewis, I believe he already has metal-work in his shoulder hence a very nasty injury for him
Al Stewart
Masters' foot certainly is not touching the white line, what are you looking at? Or are you just seeing what you want to see? There is nothing whatsoever wrong with that start. The referee has a perfect view from above, there is no scope for anything underhand going on, and Jim Syme is a guy who plays it by the book. As for being a selective 23 seconds of video, what do you want to see? If Lindgren was complaining about the starting positions, that is the few seconds either side of the tapes going up. What else is there? Newcastle looked like they were going to win early on, and they were unfortunate not to get a point because they were on a 5-1 at the first attempt at heat 15. No arguments there. Edinburgh are vulnerable at home and are tending just to stumble home over the last two or three races. But let's not talk drivel shall we? Try freeze framing when the riders are lined up, and if you honestly still maintain that Masters foot is touching the white line, then you really need to have your eyesight checked as you also appear to be unable to recognise Masters left foot from his right Edited July 15, 2017 by cyclone
