TheReturn
Riss has done well tonight for Leicester but that's the 2nd attempt tonight at fencing his teammate. He needs to learn how to have a look before making those moves Don't be such a prat to suggest he would fencing anyone. Clearly he is not perhaps spatially aware but I don't believe any of those moves were deliberate. Accidents happen. One question for Leicester though. Why are all the track staff standing there looking at Pawel laying on the track, I counted at least half dozen at one point. FFS give the rider and the ambulance staff space you moronic ghouls.
Debbi
Why does Kelvin think that it is acceptable to put the opposition through the fence but not your team mate?! The amount of times he has said that he can only think that Riss did not realise it was his teammate. You do NOT fence a rider regardless of who they are or who they ride for!
Midland Red
Is it ok to fence the opposition then? Shouty suggested he did so as he thought it was the opposition
TheReturn
A bit of awareness wouldn't go amiss from Riss though. Agreed, this is what the problem is, not dirty riding.
nw42
Absolute dick move by Riss regardless of whether its a team mate or not. I thought it was a legitimate move had it been an opposition rider, he certainly didn't 'fence' him, just took him wide, the outcome was unfortunate, hope he's ok. tellboy
If the track had been graded maybe the lump of a dirt line wouldn't have been there and he would have sailed round.
SCB
How is Riss excluded? 15.5.1 Where a heat is stopped, the Referee shall disqualify the rider, who in his/her opinion is the primary cause of the stoppage, has indulged in foul, unfair, dangerous or reckless conduct thats jeopardised the fair chance of an opponent. In certain circumstances, that may include disqualification from the rest of the Meeting, with no facility allowed in a team meeting. Pawel is NOT an opponent. I think there was room. Will need to see it again though.Enough room but deep on the outside and the bike picked up.
Midland Red
Good grief - anyone remember how good Blackbird Road was! This place is dreadful
racers and royals
How is Riss excluded? Pawel is NOT an opponent. He was the Primary cause of the stoppage-a rider doesn`t have to have done everything mentioned in that sentence !!!!
tyke
Why don't teams running R/R not nominate a No,8 ?
bigcatdiary
How is Riss excluded? Pawel is NOT an opponent. It's a fair point and just shows what a complete crock of $hyte our rule book is.
Hawk127
Rosco seems a little disinterested and not his usual upbeat self. Has he had enough? The track is the same for both teams and not a lot to get excited about which seems a sad indictment of where the sport is these days. Inhave said it before but the current set up simply does not work. Double up, treble up it is not working. Lack of riders and so much R/R and the powers that be really need to get a grip before sport disappears into oblivion. Admit it now BSPA you have got it wrong big time and only you can save it. You have p.. off supporters, you are asking too much from riders and offering through total mismanagement crap entertainment and having spent the gains from Sky you still expect the punter to line your pockets. All of you on the management committee hang you heads in shame. BT offer a temp life line but given the quality of presentation from the track/meeting how much longer will we see league racing on TV? An old saying is their are none so blind who do want to see. To sum up the current situation, so many still want to see it succeed but so few have have any idea on how to entertain. Time to get back to basics.
Midland Red
How is Riss excluded? Pawel is NOT an opponent. Riss caused the stoppageInteresting comment from Kelvin about possible changes in machinery being considered - I think that's what he said
SCB
Riss caused the stoppageNo he didn't. Pawel hitting the fence caused the stoppage. Riss didn't "indulged in foul, unfair, dangerous or reckless conduct thats jeopardised the fair chance of an opponent" because his opponent was behind him. longlivefrankie
Tatum annoying me now with constant comments about it being a team mate which to me by default implies it's ok to cause a opponent to crash
racers and royals
No he didn't. Pawel hitting the fence caused the stoppage. Riss didn't "indulged in foul, unfair, dangerous or reckless conduct thats jeopardised the fair chance of an opponent" because his opponent was behind him. You might think that but others including the ref didn`t
marko
heat 9 could be the slowest in history if both riders try to come second
Speedy swindon pete
Are people actually watching or just shouting obliviously? Yeah it wasn't great awareness from Riss, but the pole was behind his shoulder all the way round the bend when Riss was drifting out wide. And in no way did Riss "fence" the rider either. Theres a couple more metres of track on the outside of them. The crash was caused by Pawel being unsettled and hitting a wall of dirt. If that was as slick as the rest of the track out there he would have just had to pull a locker and probably gone backwards. Instead he was up on the back wheel before he had a chance to react, flying into the fence.
