Stay "SAFE" boys , watch out for that 3rd/4th bend , not called Rough Park for nothing , certainly won't be a bus going over there jenga after the farce the other week , won't even be taking a car , il be saving my money and watch the updates , best of luck boys and on the plus side only one more time to go over there this season

bloody hell 1 rut on 1 bend in 1 meeting and the tracks dangerous. Give up whinging. Strange how in the same meeting Cookie wa the fastest there this season only 0.4 off the track record.

You lost cos Jorgensen's strong arm tactics didn't work against the unmoveable Steve Worrall and he wiped out his own rider.

take it youve only been to newcastle once

its well known for having many accidents on the 3rd/4th bend

i havnt been there for about 4 or 5 years but ive seen a few

can honestly say ive never seen what i would call a good meeting there

Well, I don't know what you call a good meeting, then.

Derrwent Park - follow the leader all the way to the flag.

that didn't make any difference, the tie was sorted by then,,, Tommy Guns desperate effort failed, after allowing Lindgren to pass him in ht13 which helped the tie swing the pressure got to him.

many times you been?? Funnily enough i used to have a caravan over your way and ive seen some terrible meetings at Derwent park also.

What do you want Newcastle to do? The shape of the track is what it is and the surface has been very good on the whole for a number of years now id say.

Is that the hole that Sargent missed and lifted cos he was in heavy loose dirt, and the hole that Lambert missed as well when his chain came off meaning his bike stopped dead, and threw him over the bars. If it had been a hole Lambert would have been thrown together with his bike away from the area. The problem was too much loose stuff, not the innocent 3rd bend hole that seems have gained notoriety as time has passed. It even appeared as an excuse the following week for the Stars in the NJL. Someone even stated on here that we should have not prepared a track with a hole in it in the first place. Modern track prep would make that highly improbable to do.

Sorry you will be missing, we will all miss you.

Normally make the trip over to Newcastle but after the other week I won't be going. The track was disgusting an quite frankly dangerous. Also it was after 1am when I got home due to the fact it took 3 hours to run the meeting.

If you live in Workington (or somewhere near), which way did you go home? 2 and a half hours to get from Newcastle to Workington?

I wonder if all the Workington fans would still complain if there team actually won at Newcastle and didn't continuously get thumped?

Got thumped quite a few times with that rider in your profile pic 2, who was basically rubbish there concidering it was a former track.

Whilst 3 hours is not acceptable. a big chuck of the extra time was to tidy up the track on the 4th bend where there was too much of a build up of shale, especially on a wide outside sweep. You either go with an iffy track and risk injuries, or you do all you can to repair it.

Seem to remember a few years ago when you had a dangerous track after about heat 12 when your two tractor drivers, one Denhams brother ?, took an age to make it worse, and worked against each other, as the track eventually froze and became even more slippy. At least we had a plan, and improved the track and safety.

Maybe he wanted to be on our side of the pits instead of yours? Seriously though he hasn't been the same since he had the crash at brough while riding for us which is a shame.

its hard to imagine how a speedway track could be dangerous,,, but I agree, it was disgusting, it was after 11 when I got away then discovered Mr. Bull 'digging up the road' outside the kebab shop, a tell ye,,, as was lucky to get me supper :(

That's cos you've never been there in the last 5 years. on the other hand if you like full throttle fastest bike wins follow the leader rather than use your head throttle control then I wouldn't comeback to newcastle in the next five years either..
