Col
Thorsell really is becoming a one track pony. Looks unbeatable at Monmore but let his team down very badly tonight. Been doing it on a regular occurance in Wolves travels. James Shanes passed him and held him off at Poole earlier this season. Thorsell always looks like he could break through to be a top rider. But never does. And on Monday he will probably score 14 or 15. In average reduction mode, as is Lindgren. Let Schlien, Howarth & Masters score the points - Lindgren & Thorsell are coming back next year. Their play off spot is all but confirmed, Wolves will not lose at home, why win away when they can pick up the odd point & send the home fans home victorious? Political gain. Thorsell was mentioned by many Swindon fans as being the only real guest replacement for Doyle in some threads, so they obviously rate him in Wiltshire. Perton Wolf
need to sort the reserves out or it is going to cost us Reserves did well in this meeting I think, just hope that Mark Riss can come back and be fit in time for the playoffs but looks like a long shot. Really best to keep quiet instead of putting your foot in it all the time making yourself look silly
JmeRay
The meeting turned in heat 12 with a totally unexpected 5-1 from Barker & Morley over Schlein & Perks. Up to then, it had really been nip and tuck. I can't help but think that the track should be better and if it was it would help Rye House. Most of the passing was off the second bend after the start where as Harris & Barker in particular would benefit from more racing lines. I agree with your post. This season the track seems to have the one racing line.
cityrebel
The rye track is how most of the current riders like It, slick and smooth. I would like to see a bit more dirt put down, but I'm not holding my breath.
arnieg
Virtually all riders have a higher home average than an away average. I challenge you to give me a definitive list of 2017 premiership riders that have a higher away average than home average. I doubt that you will get to 5. Curently: Schlein Cook Harris S Worrall Kerr Starke Ellis Ayres I would expect that list to be shorter by the end of the season From http://speedway-stats.co.uk/Averages/2017/1 Last year: Lindgen Nicholls Kylmakorpi Korneliussen Tungate http://speedway-stats.co.uk/Averages/2016/

According to brother Erik, 3 or 4 weeks. He says that what was said on TV from Wolves on Monday was not right.

And from last year's list of 5, yes just 5 riders, 2 are wolves riders who ride at the track that gives a massive home advantage.LOL. I would like to see a bit more dirt put down, but I'm not holding my breath.More dirt would end up in your lap or your hair like last night as dry weather conditions don't help plus would make it tough for lesser riders. The track is now wider at turns one and two so riders use the high line to get a run off the corner, it means the inside is now virtually redundant and with better riders this year it's all about chasing the dirt and makes the racing exciting but lacks the overtakes we purists always yearn for. Also 3 Belle Vue riders (Nicholls last year, Cook and S Worrall this). It is a very small data set, but my instinctive guess is that riders with higher away averages are more likely to be found in stronger teams. I doubt that you will get to 5.Cook, Schlein, Harris, Worrall, KK, Starke, Kerr, Ellis, Newman and Ayres. I've only included riders who have done 6 meetings. And I'd suggest Throssells home/away average is more biased towards hone than average but it's not excessive. Edit- I see I was beat to it!
