Crump99
There was a lot of £2 car park fees. Is it normally that much? Hodgy is Panthers car parking supremo so would be a good person to ask

Gemini
There was a lot of £2 car park fees. Is it normally that much? Normally £1, none of which goes to the promotion ~ all to The Showground. I suppose £2 wasn't bad on this occasion as some were parked up for six hours. The last time I went into Leicester City centre it cost me £9.20p for just over two hours as the fee jumped straight to 4 hours after exceeding 2. That was over six years ago as I haven't been back since so it probably costs even more now.

And was initially brought in, allegedly, to cover the club's SRBF contribution before it magically went into the ether to be subsumed into standard running costs. Crump99
That was under the days of Mr Frost I believe! It was in the days of CH I thought. RF just carried it on without realising (and needing the £1's tbh) and it's been running costs ever since I guess.
wealdstone
Very definitely it was CH and allegedly for SRBF

Gavan
You are kidding right? The Panthers did the BSPA a favour by running this event and attracting a huge crowd. £3000 x £20 = £60,000 divided by 10 PL clubs = £6,000 each for doing absolutely nothing. I often wonder if your a boy of about 10 or an older attention seeking loner but this post hasnt helped. Your maths is shocking so again you could be young or again just thick im not sure. Try thinking of all the costs to run a meeting and then get back to use with the revised info........thanks

Gavan
Oh dear, proof reading isn't something you do well is it? It's a bit rich mocking others when you lack basic skills yourself. I missed a comma after the number 10, another one after the word loner. In the second line i missed a comma after the word shocking and after the word young. In the third sentence i missed a comma after the word meeting. And if you had actually read my post properly (comma) i was not mocking Corbynfan for his grammar (comma) i was calling him young because he had not got a good grasp of maths (comma) nothing to do with his punctuation (comma) but thanks for your concern (full stop)
SimonB
Genuine question from a fan who doesn't know. What does the likes of Peterborough or any staging track get from meetings like this? Obviously parking and tea / bar / food takings, the entrance money will go to the BSPA, who will meet the expenses. Does a staging track receive a fee for holding the event? Does the staging track have to tender for the event and pay a fee to the BSPA? If I remember correctly the staging promotion gets the costs of holding the event covered. Any profit over and above the costs of running the event will go to the BSPA and will be shared between all of the clubs.

With a 'shared event' the staging costs are reclaimed by the hosting promotion and the profit is put into the BSPA funds and, together with other shared event profits, shared out to all promotions at the AGM. This is opposed to a bought event when the successful bid goes into the BSPA coffers, and the profit goes to the host promotion.

At the risk of sounding ignorant, what is the difference between a "bought" event and a "shared" event? I thought all BSPA events would be shared? Which ones would be "bought?
