Poole Pirates Vs Swindon Robins 19/07/17

Recommended Posts

1st July 1998 v Ipswich (EL) - Poole website gives it as 27-63 although an (unchecked) results sheet reports 26-64.

And interestingly, we managed to get a draw in the B fixture against a stunningly powerful Ipswich lineup.

And the last few pages are huff and puff. AJ is not coming to Poole. Just wait and see. The speculations are off target.

Problem is Lindback might be concentrating on the GP's but who knows.

We can hope

Anton owes us..

Starman in full meltdown mode is good to see. Reading him arguing is priceless. Funnily enough he hasn't congratulated Swindon yet. Sore loser springs to mind.

Not at all, the better side won by a mile on the night..

I will be stunned if its a GP rider.......not saying it wont be but it would be unlikely

It cant be Holder.......who lets face it Poole were wrong to let go.

Who is left??? Who would come in, hit the ground running scoring 9-12 points a meeting which is what is needed.

You need someone with no other real commitments who will try over here......not many riders about.

Matt Ford usually pulls a rabbit from somewhere even if this seasons changes, Lahti and Starke, were quite uninspiring

Which ever rider comes in he wont come cheap , they will know a tiny bit of desperation has crept it . To tempt a TOP RIDER will cost a packet , perhaps Matt will write the season off ? . I feel our sport seems a little flat at the moment & is in need of a bit of a boost ..a BIG name could provide that !
