Sheffield V Berwick Thursday 13th July

Recommended Posts

The Sheffield promotion should be asking Berwick for half the wages money they will be paying out after this match. Absolutely disgusting that Berwick even think this sort of team is acceptable to keep putting out week after week. Shame they cant just forfeit this match and the remaining matches they have left and have a big booze up in the B&G to celebrate another successful season on track. Don't forget though, the club is leading the way with track covers just as they led the way in quality of pie under big John  .

That's a bit strong surely? Berwick's true 1-7 would have Nick Morris, Lewis Bridger, Doolan, Gappmaier and Howe with Etheridge a decent reserve. They were caught out by the fact that Bridger acquired such a low average, then got injured, leaving them to choose between a moderate r/r and Jacobs, who hasn't paid off yet. I don't see what they could realistically have done about the situation. Their full team would be perfectly acceptable.

Stupid post, whoever you are. Berwick have been devastated by injuries this season, yet virtually the same team as will race tonight went to Edinburgh (currently second in the table) and scored 39 earlier this month. Which is close to matching Workington and Ipswich's 40, equal to Newcastle and better than Scunthorpe (35), Redcar (34) and Peterborough (30). Plus your dig at promotion's success with covers is pointless, and suggesting the Andersons should only be remembered pies ignores the FIM meetings Sky matches and BenFund Bonanza brought to Shielfield as a result of improved track, lights and the foam-fence.

Welcome back, little bit out of order though. Only running with 2 guests is welcome of late, if I have a comment Payne should have been replaced long ago but Lawson is a good replacement for our injured No1.

Havn't seen you at Berwick for a while, but the racing has been very good this season, track prep is much better than in previous years, been some very good meetings. OK our team was never right from the outset, but due to injuries not been able to strengthen up, Morris And Howe should have done the job, damned injuries again. As I said Payne should have been replaced long ago.though.

AS for pies those Scots things ARE NOT PIES :nono::nono::nono:

absolutely ridiculous comments."this sort of team" are still putting their necks on the line every time that they take to the track,so be grateful that at least you have a team what with all of the injuries the promotion have to contend with.its only the same now with our reserve injuries.

Nothing on the Berwick website regarding this match, very poor PR.

As far as keeping their fans up to date, on team news and any other relevant information, the official site has been very poor this season.

Home win tonight but 10-12pts.
