Dandelion
I have two questions... Who is Andrew Palmer? And Who is Matt Marson? I was looking through the results over the past few weeks and I noticed these two names... I generally try to keep as up to date as I can with youth speedway and stuff... with what little information there is... But I have never even heard of these two... Thanks for any information... arnieg
Matt Matson is a youngster from Perth, Western Australia. He has ridden on an Australian licence in the FIM Youth Gold Trophy. I have seen him ride in the Australian Under 16 Championship. Presumably has British ancestry and passport.

Although, I personally don't see what's wrong with letting youngsters from Australia and USA etc come in, they should stick by their word... Thanks for the information anyway
spiegal
Matt Marson has a british passport and qualifies in every respect for the NL....he is still at school...gaining some experience before coming in next year for the full season

Thanks for the information anyway The rule was brought in after Wilson-Dean that you need a British passport to ride NL. Marson has one of these even though he's just come over from Australia.

Now all of a sudden he's British and could ride in the NL? I understand Aussie's getting passports, but shouldn't British born riders get the nod first? If the BSPA goes by their word... Although... This is a bit hypocritical coming from me xD
arnieg
Andrew Palmer is 18, and has ridden half a dozen SDL matches this year - mainly for Exeter
teaboy279
Andrew Palmer is a lovely young lad, I first came across him at Lydd last year. He has come on leaps and bounds and did not disgrace himself at National League level. Will be a steal of a 3 point signing in 2018.
