Trees
Holder will be at Poole don't you worry. Did you. KL don't seem to have any consistency about them this season IMO Porsing and Bailey don't forget with L. Rose in the 1-5 Yeah that's it, the guys haven't all ridden to their best, and with injuries .....
RobMcCaffery
I assume you mean BT. No, it appears to be a very odd situation. The deal with Sky appears to still be there, and they're paying what is due according to the contract but feel they cannot justify the additional cost of actually covering the meetings. Instead it seems a temporary deal has been made for a year for BT to cover the sport for free, with them taking on the costs of covering the events instead. So, it seems to be a very odd 'half and half' situation. Regarding last night, it's clear that we still have a dangerous situation where some riders are trying to control the sport. Despite the many failings of the BSPA this anarchy has to be ended and the riders concerned either shown who is in charge or are allowed to leave. I'm sure these antics would not be tolerated in Poland. The trouble is you then get naive fans whingeing about "watering down". We unfortunately, for now, have to lose those who are not committed to racing here or feel they can dictate what goes on. If it means a combined Championship/NL level league with weekly speedway, a full fixture list and stable teams of riders actually giving a damn about the sport and its customers then surely the most arrogant 'EL snob' will realise it has to be better than what happened last night. It has to be a case of "Do it our way or go". Edited July 14, 2017 by Rob McCaffery
Trees
Also Chris has dropped to reserve in Sweden lately. So it isn't the fact he is not interested in Britain. It's the fact he isn't interested in riding for KL and he wants to come home and all of us Pirates fans want Chris to come home as well. Always will be a legend of the sport to us Poole fans. And he's ALWAYS had plenty of support at Lynn, we've always respected his performances as a Pirate Chris come home ..... he will, don't worry your little head about that ... awwwww

What riders have to remember is they want to sling their leg over a bike and have some fun they can. if they want to get paid for it they have to remember who actually pays to watch them do it, after all none of them are forced to chose it as a career.
waytogo28
Matt Ford did NOT sack Chris. Where are you getting this from. But MF did not want to retain his services for this season. CH was looking for a job ( and a visa ) and he found a well paid one at KL.

If they're not sacked, I will not be backing Holder and Batchelor again. As far as I'm concerned, we're a 5 man team with 2 individuals. I want them out regardless of the damage it'll cause for the rest of 2017. I'm devastated that Gavin Carney has quite as the announcer, such a sad situation.
spanner47
I assume you mean BT. No I mean Sky, BT are showing it for peanuts, but Sky's agreement is until the end of next season. Well that's what I found out when I googled it. Would be lovely if the final payment was used to go towards things that would benefit the sport moving forward, but we all know where it will end up, greedy promoters and over paid riders. Unless of course form 2019 BT actually want to pay for something they can have for nothing, no chance of that!!!
DWP
Might of been a plan. MF sends Chris out on loan on a ridiculous 12.53 average. Chris gets his average down to 6.5 - 7.5 next year we sign him on a bargain average with two other No.1s a cruise to the title in 2018. The way speedway is at the moment, do you think anyone really gives a damn who wins in 2018.

You'd have thought he would have used a TINY bit of common sense if he wanted to try to make people actually believe he was injured last night and not have ridden again for a few days at least!. Shows just what he thinks of the KL fans and management, mind you, "most" of them (and no doubt Chapman) will all be worshipping him (and Holder) again next Wednesday, no doubt! ( I did say "MOST" as I do know some Lynn fans who have morals, so it's not fair to label them all the same)

You'd have thought he would have used a TINY bit of common sense if he wanted to try to make people actually believe he was injured last night and not have ridden again for a few days at least!. As the rules stand he has done no wrong. I'm not defending him BTW. Common sense and Aussie speedway rider bit of an oxymoron Shows just what he thinks of the KL fans and management, mind you, "most" of them (and no doubt Chapman) will all be worshipping him (and Holder) again next Wednesday, no doubt! ( I did say "MOST" as I do know some Lynn fans who have morals, so it's not fair to label them all the same) If Buster sacked Holder and Batchelor (who allegedly were the main culprits last night) and ended up with a weakened team for the remainder of the season would that satisfy the Lynn fans. If not what else do they want/expect Buster to do about last nights events.
Bunce
For those of you not at Saddlebow Rd last night, have a look at this video of Heat 14, taken from the Lynn web site courtesy of Re-Run videos. Does this look like a crap, difficult to ride track? I think I could have managed 4 laps on that surface! http://www.kingslynnstars.co/news.php?extend.30482
foreverblue
As someone who actually attended the meeting as a Poole fan here goes. It seemed to be a strange meeting right from the start, it seemed to have a weird atmosphere, don't know why just felt like that. Some fan had the sense to walk out during the long break. I think some are being a bit harsh on Batchelor he did have a fall which caused his injury which seemed to be the final nail. The meeting started as expected really with two zero's for KK and looking at a big loss for Poole, then Holder stopped I thought he had broken down, he was still 3rd at the time and after his tac ride which was a decent race and gave his all to get by his brother he didn't come out for heat 13 very strange. Overall the meeting was very poor racing wise with very few passes but I thought the Poole team behaved impeccably throughout, they were not the ones moaning about the track and Jack needs to tell his brother how you ride a track with dirt on it and how to behave towards his paying public, it seems it was all too scary for Chris Holder whereas Jack came out for every race he was in and gave it everything. There needs to be a statement from Kings Lynn about this fiasco. I know it is a dangerous sport but if Shanes can give it a go and ride well surely Chris Holder shouldn't pack all his toys away and go home, riders have to be brought to account the sport can't go on with this attitude. When Schlein had his argument with Buster and basically Buster told to get out there, it was understandable it had rained a lot and Schlein was justified in his assessment but this is just taking fans for mugs. I felt very sorry for the Kings Lynn fans last night they don't deserve to be treated this way. Gavan
C. Holder issue had nothing to do with the track imo. Chris wants to come back and if he gets himself sacked then that way we can pick him up. You think Holder didnt want to race last night because he wants to ride for Poole next year!!!!
