Super Blue
Weather permitting (potential thunderstorms predicted for tomorrow) does anyone see anything apart from a very comfortable home win? Only change from both sides being nearly at full strength is Rob Branford coming in for Nathan Greaves who Is riding in the U19's at Plymouth. Good luck to you Nathan! Personally I'm going for the Witches to maybe hit early 50's but certainly the Scorpions to do better than last visit when struck by a couple of untimely injury withdrawals. CookieIpswich
58 to the Witches, may give this a miss due to work commitments and it being less appealing than the next few home fixtures
Baldyman
Missing this one as well, but it's meant to rain all day Thursday anyway.

spanner47
Decided at the start of the season I'd only watch each team once unless they entertained me the first time, Scunny don't fall in this category. The only exception will be the pussycats, as they keep getting it wrong, they'll have a completely different side when they come again. Moranboys
58 to the Witches, may give this a miss due to work commitments and it being less appealing than the next few home fixtures bit of a derogatory comment towards scunthorpe.all meetings should be appealing if you are a supporter.maybe when ipswich are at the e.w.r some scunthorpe supporters may miss that fixture due to it being less appealing than some other matches!!! p.s maybe if you get a decent race strip then many more matches may be appealing.
Super Blue
Having had a blank last Thursday personally I'm more than ready for some live Speedway and agree with the fact that we've had our fair share of dross to watch this season at Foxhall. That aside, Scunny had loads of luck last visit, all bad! so with Douglas now finding some form and Wilko bound to score from reserve I'm sure it will more entertaining and closer than last time.

So you know the lives of everyone that has posted i take it?? I live the south side of Chelmsford thus meaning it takes me a good hour to get to Foxhall I finish work around half 6 until 7 and am at work now for example. Im married , with a mortgage, and 2 wonderful children, one of whom at the age of 7 is a British Champion in her sport which takes up my time and my money. Add in the fact that i love seeing my children (maybe not the wife so much!) and then hopefully you may understand why i dont wish to rush around every week and lay out the £60 or so that it would cost me to go. Some things in life are more important to me then speedway so please forgive me if i pick and choose what meetings i go to thanks for your concern though Edited July 5, 2017 by Gavan

Most promoters in this Country are very lucky we ever go. We all hate the double points rule, what do they do? NOTHING!!! We all hate doubling up, but instead of curtailing it they expand it to ridiculous proportions. And don't get on started on the 10 heats rip off, piss off we've had your money and we couldn't give a stuff about you as customers. Most promoters should be very grateful we're stupid enough to ever go and get charged £16 for 15 minutes. I only go to Foxhall out of some strange loyalty, but I certainly don't want to watch crap teams more than once a season.

jenga
thank you for the kind words in your replies . sure , we all have mortgages kids and support them in their quest to be a champion in their chosen sports . so i am no different to anyone else . you have money , you spend it on anything that makes you feel better . early days it was my brother with motocross, from schoolboy to adult . every year a new bike/gear and the odd van . now its my eldest with his music . ( a professional wedding band ) , but i still see speedway and dont drink or smoke . maybe thats where you lot are going wrong !

Baldyman
I'm not going wrong anywhere.. I watch plenty of speedway at Ipswich and follow ipswich to plenty of away tracks, but recently I've decided not just to turn up to all. Its my disposable income, and I won't be told where I should be disposing of it. This week's speedway money will be disposed of on some extra ciders.
Hawk127
Give the punter what they want and they will turn up every week, see them as a way of filling the coffers no matter what is served up and you get empty terraces. Last nights world cup meeting is what the sport is all about. The weekly fodder with double up, rules that make the sport a laughing stock and the lack of a 'Real team' that a supporter can relate too leaves the average person with limited funds no real choice in the way of deciding where to spend the hard earned pound. Baldyman is right. Give us regular weekly meetings against different opposition, individual meetings., four T T (that is after all what the World Cup has become) with eveningly matched teams and perhaps things might change. Even if you had two 4TT in one eveining with Aand B graded riders and a final with the two two scorers from each meeting. Something needs to change or some teams will simply disappear. Even the regional option with a north and south divided is better than what is on offer now. It simply cannot pay its way as it stands. Loyalty is a two way process and not many clubs seem to get this very simple analogy. Riders in the main are not team players so stop pretending and structure the racing accordingly. Even the SEC is streets ahead of the league racing in this Country. Time for change maybe!!!

I get to the track about 19.30 and leave roughly two hours later. Hardly 15 minutes is it
Baldyman
It's pretty obvious he meant 15 minutes of racing. Watching the tractor go round every now and then is free. Its about 14 1/2 minute now as well Edited July 5, 2017 by baldyman
Arch Stanton
Must admit I'm a little surpised a fair few it seems will be giving this a miss, especially after the cracking meeting last time out. They've worked on the track and it seems to have settled down and produced a corker against Worky. I'd never dream of telling people what to do with their hard earned, I miss meetings myself. But I find the timing a little strange coming off such a good meeting that was well received by everybody. I'll be there tomorrow for that very reason, hoping for more of the same. Fingers crossed the weather doesn't hinder track prep too much.

Baldyman
Last week you had the cook effect. Not knocking scunthorpe..but not any of their riders give me any effect. I can only see a one sided borefest unless in every race ipswich start behind. Now the Sheffield meeting I will go to. Looks a lot more interesting.
