eric i
Should be a good meeting, difficult to pick a winner.
TheScotsman
Group A looks weak in comparison to B.

northyorksbear
Group A looks weak in comparison to B. Agree - but due to Cook being missing - otherwise groups would have been a lot more even!
TheScotsman
Getting the old excuse in early I see Nope - being realistic. As northyorksbear says - the lack of Cookie makes it the weaker group.
Cue Ball
I think they are fairly even - from a Sheffield perspective I wouldn't have wanted to come up against Glasgow, Peterborough or Ipswich, likewise I doubt many teams would want to come up against Edinburgh, Newcastle or Sheffield. I suppose Workington and Scunny are marginally weaker than Redcar & Berwick, but I wouldn't have thought there was much in it
cheekycobra
I wouldnt say Redcar are weak. True we will be missing Garrity, but dont forget Barker in the British championships and Somerset has been Wrights home track for a number of seasons. racers and royals
Robert Lambert and Jack Holder could have some equipment difficulties as their best Equipment needs to be in Poznan 1st thing Sunday morning for the world U21 1st round . Gavan
Group A looks weak in comparison to B. Dont agree 3 of the strongest sides are in group A. Glasgow, Peterborough and Ipswich Of the other group i think Newcastle are clear favourites then either Sheffield or Redcar for runners up
diamond@heart
Robert Lambert and Jack Holder could have some equipment difficulties as their best Equipment needs to be in Poznan 1st thing Sunday morning for the world U21 1st round . Is it not just a case of jumping on a flight with your favoured engine(s) and having it/them put into a frame in Poland?

Pob
Robert Lambert and Jack Holder could have some equipment difficulties as their best Equipment needs to be in Poznan 1st thing Sunday morning for the world U21 1st round . That is assuming that they will actually be there.
Gavan
Check out the current averages. Newcastle have the best averages, so going on that are certain to qualify. Glasgow and Peterborough are next so you would assume they will battle it out but Ipswich only just behind them If i was asked to say who should win the meeting i would say Newcastle. If i was asked for runners up it would be either Glasgow, Peterborough or Ipswich and they are all in the same group
lewy
I think redcar will cause an upset and win it.
TheScotsman
But worky and Scunny in group A are a long way weaker than the other 6 pairs. And the possible weaker pairs in group B are all capable of taking points off the other pairs in that group. So group A ON PAPER is a straight shoot out between 3 pairs. Group B is much closer across all the pairs. Even Berwick can expect to pick up a decent number of points.
TheScotsman
In terms of current averages, Group A has the 2, 3, 7, 9, 10 in the combined averages. Group B has the 1, 4, 5, 6, 8 in the combined averages. So Group B is obviously closer and therefore tougher. And Ippo are actually only 7th in the combined averages. DiamondGlory
We might not be too high in the league, but if there's anything we're in with a chance for, it's the pairs. Gutted i can't make it down there this year, but I hope the diamonds can do it this time round!
