foamfence
Presumably he tweeted in the heat of the moment - realised he had made a mistake and deleted them. We can all lose our tempers and say things we don't mean. He showed sound common sense in deleting them. I rather suspect that someone else might have influenced his decision to retract his posts, he certainly didn't show "sound common sense" in making them and the "heat" seemed to last a good few moments. All rather sad really, I wish him well but I also wish that he'd return to the fold and just get on with it.

Paulco
Why is all this stuff about Woffinden on this thread ? Because Bridger and his views really isn't that interesting

But sadly he's gob lets him down.
Tsunami
Got to laugh at the BSF sometimes. Most folks haven't got much time for Bridger, and what he has done and said over the years he has wasted. He breaks the code that he signed to adhere to on his licence application, and suddenly the blame spills over to the SCB and the BSPA. Only on the BSF

He breaks the code that he signed to adhere to on his licence application, and suddenly the blame spills over to the SCB and the BSPA. Only on the BSF and there was me thinking the BSF was a broad church and covered multiple opinions. Maybe those that are blaming the SCB and BSPA are Bridger fans and maybe just maybe any SCB/BSPA fans are too ashamed to own up to it and say they were right to fine Bridger. For the record I'm neither a Bridger fan nor a SCB/BSPA fan and to fine a rider for voicing an opinion is totally wrong on any level. Good job this isn't the USA cos the SCB would have breached the first amendment ( well I don't think Trump has changed it yet ) Edited July 3, 2017 by Star Lady
Daniel Smith
Got to laugh at the BSF sometimes. Most folks haven't got much time for Bridger, and what he has done and said over the years he has wasted. Most people can see past their opinions of a rider and know that what the SCB have done here is ridiculous. He breaks the code that he signed to adhere to on his licence application, and suddenly the blame spills over to the SCB and the BSPA. Only on the BSF Let's be honest, he's only signed documents because he wants to ride his bike. No different to signing a work contract because you want that job. Same as signing a mobile phone contract, because you want that phone. T's & C's don't cross the majority of people's minds when they really want it.

waytogo28
He only has to score a point or less to pay the fine, so what's the fuss?
spin king
First impressions is Lewis been daft and little stupid and daft making comments about the people running the sport. How wrong was I, clever ploy by young Lewis. Cops a fine. Sets up a Go Fund account for supporters to assist him with the paying of his fine, anything over goes towards his physio costs. Fund now stands at nearly £500. That's nearly £350 towards his physio costs. Lovely Jubbly.

RobMcCaffery
I've known promoters ask announcers not to mention that riders have been fined, in case the fans collect more than the fine and the rider ends up benefitting for his misdemeanour.
bruno
If I set a Go Fund account up for my wasted trips to speedway meetings for weather cancellations, generator failure, track not laid properly or sheep on the track (ok that's a lie) will everyone pay into it for me

First impressions , the bspa are Nazi's , speak out against them and THEY impose a fine , an independent body should decide if rules have been broken and decide punishment ,

And the SCB are (quote) "the independent body to ensure that the BSPA, Members' Tracks, Riders and Officials all act within the Rules and Regulations of the SCB and most importantly within the best interest of Speedway motorcycle racing."
