gee jay
all the info on saturdays meeting now on the kent website along with a few digs at the eagles Edited June 29, 2017 by gee jay
mrscambelt
I think that George will have a good one at number 1 needs to be on form, Jake has the beating of Ayres as jake is on fire at the moment. Also Basby and Tom and charlie seems to make a very strong team. Ayes is in for Bowen on the Kent website this morning. Along with a few digs at Eastbourne, but i guess if you can only have a dig at people via media because the team you put together is poor, i rather have a poor media and a good team, Lucky for Eastbourne they have a good team and good media. stevec
Just read the report. Its actually quite good and informative and I dont blame them for the comments about the called off meetings. Every single one of those calls offs may be 100% legit but it does seem to have affected Kent quite badly!! Surely they know that Danny Ayres is the pantomime villain thing. Its also a small number of fans that give him any real stick.
Hunters
all the info on saturdays meeting now on the kent website along with a few digs at the eagles Understandable bit of green eye I expect. Their performance against the eagles is enough to frustrate anyone. Their record in competitive marches is played 9 (5H & 4A )lost 8 with little chance of changing things on Saturday. The only salvation was the Good Friday challenge in 2016 when Kyle Hughes broke his leg after one ride and Richard Andrews his collar bone. They will need a lot of that sort of good fortune to get through to the next round.

Whilst a bit of rivalry is always good i feel the press office is getting slightly resentful about recent events.
mrscambelt
If i was a kent fan i would be upset by the team that they have to support this year, My team would have been Ayres, verge, Thomas, Hopwood, shanes follwed by andrews and rowe. Oh well let the battle of the south begin as i cant see Kent doing much at the weekend another step forward to winning something. would have been nice to have seen Bowen ride at Eastbourne to see him get beaten by the likes of Knight, Baseby, Wood, Bates, Brennan, Powell OMG thats the whole team. TurnTwo
I echo the comments above but then what does Ol' derek have to write about like you say Eastbourne have been the best team in the south over the past two years and I guess his bitter and twistedness is starting to show in his PR - a good writer very informative but at times let's himself down because his team are not very good and will not win any trophies whilst Bowen is there one man doesn't make a team len has failed to see this
cityrebel
Len always sticks by his favourite riders. Always has, all the Years I've been going to speedway.
TurnTwo
Eastbourne let the racing and results do the talking, not press releases...... the golden reply from Connor. Calm, cool and collected - wise move from the young man
teaboy279
Tbf I suspect Conner welcomes this sort of thing greatly. If it gets an extra 20 or 30 people through the turnstiles he will be the one to benefit. Not sure if we will get the following that was going down for the original staging but should still be a decent amount. I know despite the result what a good time we had down there for the play off loss last year, so hopefully we can create the same sort of party atmosphere and enjoy the the evening regardless of the result. Eastbourne are clear favorites but kent possess enough quality that an off night for the home team and the shock is possible. I m looking forward to it anyway.
Moleman27
I cant see any way in which Kent could win Saturday, the Eastbourne team is to strong now with Tom now at 4 and have three strong heatleaders. Plus a decent no2 in Charley and a very good reserve in Mattie if he doesn't have bike problems.

Sings4Speedway
Never thought having Bowen in the side was an issue. It was the inclusion of Clifton that prevented Ayres or Shanes returning and would have made the team look far more solid. As for the match up it has to be Eastbournes to lose. Hoping i might be able to pop down for it (depending how much work gets in the way?) as whatever the outcome it should provide some entertainment & thats what i desire from my speedway these days. gee jay
i think this meeting is going to be closer than a few people seem to think . kent nothing to lose after trailing from the first leg , including one guest who always has a point to prove against eastbourne and other who has a point to prove this season. roll on saturday.
