lucifer sam
Phew, everyone is posting Andrzej Wyglenda now. I was worried when I posted him and no-one else had that I was missing something and he did have a British club somewhere. All the best Rob
Tigerblade
Gene Woods had a short spell at Birmingham and Wimbledon and Christian never ventured over here i think he might of nearly signed for Sheffield once though.? Now you've mentioned it, that seems to ring a bell, although I don't know what stage talks got to. Round about the time we were meant to be signing Keith Chrisco from Birmingham, I think he (Chrisco) had agreed terms and then decided about a week before the start of the season that he was going to stay in the States. frigbo
Ake Andersson of Glasgow 1968 and Lars-Ake Andersson were not the same person. My 5, in no particular order: Igor Plechanov Boris Samorodov Mieczyslaw Polukard Andrzej Pogorzelski Andrzej Wyglenda ok. That's the confusion. cheers
iris123
Think a mention for Wieslaw Jagus is missing. Was a bit erratic in his GP season, but made a few semi finals and one final.Bit unfashionable, but could possibly be placed in the top 5 instead of another Pole?I woud definitely have Boris and Igor, just for the names alone

Can remember the Chrisco speculation and he would of been a very good rider i think a very exciting rider.

chunky
Of course, Poland are a dominant nation these days, turning out a constant stream of class riders. Even back in the 50's and 60's, there were a fair number of Poles who - I feel - could have graced the British scene - including Marian Rose, Wlodzimierz Zwendrowski, Edmund Migos, Edward Kupczynski, Zbigniew Podlecki, Joachim Maj, and Konstanty Pociejkowicz.
