Sidney the robin
It should be remembered Masters is riding at No 5, not protected at 4 like Thorssell is. Swap the positions round I daresay you'd see a difference in scoring. Are you not happy with Thorssell ? tonight again he was excellent i have always liked him and he should improve again. You said early in the year to replace Thorssell that was total madness win your home fixtures you then make the play/Offs pretty simple really then all to play for. Grachan
Good points for the Robins tonight.Did'nt see that coming myself. Wasn't there, but Masters and to a lesser extent King seemed poor. Freddie scored a bit less than I expected. Swindons reserves racked up a few points. Batch did his job. Bad night for the 2 Poole guests imo.Kurtz had 5 from 2,ended 5 from 4.Starke had 4 from 2,ended 5 from 5.Ok for the Poole averages I guess. Guest bookings don't count towards averages.
g13webb
When I saw the teams for this match, I thought that fortunes were favouring Wolves again, in that they are riding against teams severely weakened by injuries and guests. As good as Batch is riding this year, he would never be as good as Jason Doyle. The form of Morris has probably been the biggest eye opener of the season and represented a massive lost. Kurtz was never going to fill that void and was never the ideal replacement. Whereas, on the other hand Wolves, using King and Starke to replace Howarth and Riss I thought to be more than adequate, and if anything made them even stronger. and all thoughts were directed as an easy Wolves win. For Swindon to overcome such odds and win must rank long side their best achievements ever A truly memorable performance, one that few could ever had forecast. Wolves would have gone home disappointed. They wont think they won a point tonight, they'll actually think they lost 2 pts in their quest to finish top of the league. A big well done to Swindon , It must have been a good meeting to have witness....... I have always said, the closer the score the better the match...........
hagonshocker
Well didn't see that coming! Great to see Bellego find his form again now we have passed the point of signing anyone.....but for me Ellis was the rider of the night never seen him ride so ballsy and shows what a difference having a proper scoring reserve closely followed by Zach who has come on such a lot, it does though still leave things a little hole in the top 5 but encouragingly R/R looked a good solid signing , big thanks to the prodigal son at 1 a great return and for once my sons Troy jacket attracted a lot of high 5's as opposed to eggs and empty plastic cups , 16 points though from two guests other than paid 30 for our top two outweighed the gain in the 7 from Gapp's rides , as for my pre meeting prediction of losing? I'll get me coat

Red Robin
Thoroughly enjoyed that match, Batch was worthy of the Man of the Match award. Good racing and exciting to watch, ref Turnbull made one of the worst decisions in Heat 14 I have ever seen, she should apologise to Bradley.

Which teams? Wolves have had to ride weakened and with guests also with injuries to Freddie and Riss.

Im not a Wolves fan but your wide of the mark there. Wolves won at Somerset without Lindgren, Riss, Masters They went to Poole without Lindgren and replaced him with Josh G, hardly like for like. Ok they took on Lynn who missed Huchenbeck and had r/r for Porsing Wolves have missed riders more than most teams

SteveZodiac
Good performance by Wolves to rescue a point after being 10 points down, but could and should have been better. Our Ex British Champ Guest was very disappointing, especially conceding a 5 - 1 in heat 8. Masters just wasn't competitive and also struggled. The heat 14 decision in excluding Wilson - Dean was appalling - I can only assume that Ms Turnbull didn't have a great view from the Refs Box. A ORLOV
Great night and result for the Robins. A few said that Adam would do well at reserve, but the improvement was more than just being at reserve with beating some of the riders he did, especially heat 10 when he kept ahead of Jacob on a TR. It was good to see the improvement from David and even Zach scored an impressive 5+3. Bradley started slowly but picked up later in the meeting and Batch was definitely the Man of the match with a good 11 points. I was a bit disappointed with Brady only getting 5 but then you always wonder if a guest from Poole is wise. An unexpected but welcome 3 points
keef robin
Battling scrapping Robins, you can never write them off. As big a shock result as the win at Poole. Can scrape into the play offs if they win all those home matches end of August In Rosco We Trust.
DunRobin
What about Buxton.....that place also has its own weather climate That's a bit far north for me. Anything north of the Thames is a bit dodgy weather wise!
A ORLOV
We just need to beat BV as well in two weeks, now that would be good.

An unexpected but welcome 3 points Swindon still an outside bet for the top 4...........if they sign r/r Brady was always going to struggle compared to Nick Morris. Morris is the better rider but 5 points from Kurtz was poor...........as you say Poole riders often struggle when guesting. I expect Ford had a little word 'dont do to well we dont want Swindon to catch us'

He was unlikely to match Nick but after his first two rides I thought he would get more points. Will need to see how he goes when Poole visit.
