Grachan
This is the sort of match that will kill speedway off in this country. Not only because Swindon are very much weakened by absences whereas Wolves are strengthened by them, but also this is the third match running where Troy Bachelor is riding at Blunsdon and for the third different team. It is very hard to explain that to casual supporters. The better option is not to take them to this one. Danny King for Kyle Howarth? How does that work? Has King been particularly bad this year or has Howarth been particularly good?
stevebrum
A meeting report now http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.2901 So Dany at 2 and Rosco still awaiting ruling from SCB re Nick riding or not, the decision will have a major bearing on the meeting. Can't for the life of me imagine what SCB ruling Rosco is waiting for regards Nick. If he was concussed the ruling is very clear. He can't ride even if he wants to!

Beowulf
I'm happy with TB guesting for JD, based on his guest appearance for Rye House, he is likely to score around 13 / 14 points from the 6 rides assuming that it is R/R for Nick, any more than that would be welcome. If indeed it is R/R for Nick then imo this results in a far weaker team and the question, can the likes of Adam, BWD and David match Nick's scoring comes very much into play. It also means heats 13 & 15 are more suspect. If r/r is employed for Morris, there is no doubt, Swindon are significantly weakened.
847084
Danny King for Kyle Howarth? How does that work? Has King been particularly bad this year or has Howarth been particularly good? Howarth's average is 6.79. (Green sheet issue 15.) Danny King's average is 6.72. I do however agree, there is a potential advantage to Wolves here. A telling fact is that Kyle (who has had a very good start to the season) is Wolves' 5th highest average rider whereas Danny King is Leicester's number two. As you know, selecting a guest can often give you an advantage if you can choose well but can also put you at a disadvantage if the choice is extremely limited. No two riders are exactly the same, although I did see Ivan Mauger guest for Wolves once in the absence of Ole Olsen and the outcome was exactly as you might have expected. Beowulf
Agree.Wouldnt mind tracking this team for the remainder of the season.🤗🤣 Rubbish line-up, that no. 7 needs to go ! 😂
keef robin
Can't see many turning up for this one, hopefully a rain off, if not Wolves could hit mid 50s with no Morra. Robins season could then be over, but still have heaps of home matches left in July and August. Financial disaster for the club, with only 4 home matches so far, its all a bloody farce! Still no sign of shiny new stadium. Howarth's average is 6.79. (Green sheet issue 15.) Danny King's average is 6.72. I do however agree, there is a potential advantage to Wolves here. I saw Olsen and Mauger ride together for Newcastle at Swindon 1968. Briggs was injured no guest, it was inevitable their unbeaten home record stretching back 3 years went up the spout, 38-39. No way should Nick be racing & he's just worried his team of reserves will be thrashed. How we have Dany in the top 5 & not been replaced yet is shocking. Olsen Paid11 both beaten by Broadbank Newcastle then had two strong reserves Dave Gifford and Alan Jay they scored 13 between them.

Beowulf
Spot on "Beowulf" a funny format why was that ? only thirteen heats what hit me was at number 6/7 Gifford /Jay for Newcastle looked really strong. I first started going at the back end of 1967 and just remember the 1 reserve format. Two reserves seems to be a 'modern' invention but it's probably many decades old. Need a speedway historian. One of the early matches I attended at Monmore was against Swindon and I was rather annoyed that we couldn't beat some bloke called Briggs who won all 4 of his races. LOL.😂
SCB
When you look at that Wolves team, vs that Swindon team, you just fear a massacre.

Yes agree totally & maybe this season his loyalty to certain riders could cost him at least one job.

hyabb17
I have to agree with Rosco on this, it's a joke that you can't have a guest for an injured rider because they are in positions 2-5 yet wolves who have a double up rider can bring in King & Starke at reserve for their injured rider. Nick is key to our side & without him we weakened massively. I don't blame Nick or Swindon in trying to have him passed fit although I can't see the bspa allowing it. David Howe said a few weeks ago at Berwick that he felt ok to ride but was out for 9 days. He also said that it is probably a good thing in hindsight (to protect him from racing when possibly not quite right).
