Difficult one with the likes of Dennis Sigalos, Bobby Schwartz, John Cook and Ron Preston...and not forgetting Steve 'The Heave' Gresham!!!!

Are we basing this on their performance in the BL? Or the best tanks to have ridden BL? Or best yanks in the BL era (65-90). Each of those could have quite different results.

As an example, under 1 then likely Bobby schmaltz would rank ahead of jelly man.

Under 2, you'd have to include Hancock.

Assuming you mean 3 I'll go:

Penh all

S Moran

Sigalos

Autrey

Ermolenko

Would love to include Kelly Moray but couldn't justify him ahead of the above. So slot him in 6th to be followed by Boogaloo, Lance King, John Cook and Ron Preston.

Some interesting new American names in the quote. I'll try Google searches to see if I can find background to their track careers.

I was attempting to narrow it down to the modern BL (International Record included) era discounting the pioneering years (covered in another thread) and those Americans who didn't ride in Britain like Mike Bast for example.

did Hamill race in the BL?

Milne didnt

Hancock has just 1 and a half seasons

decent list, but for the other USA thread?

I am so sorry.

Aren't we being just a little pedantic here. I put the exact same List on both Threads because I thought they were in essence, the same.

I've just reread the Thread Titles - I have obviously misread the Title of one of them.

I will try not to do it again.

BUT - I'm sure if I do that you will be the first to point it out to me.

My fault really...was trying to narrow the choice!

Not your fault at all steve. I should have been more careful in reading the Thread Titles.

You are correct in that opinion TWK! :approve:In fact, there are Posters on the BSF who appear to specialise in the error correction technique. Bless them! :icon_smile_clown:
