Mr Blobby
After a disappointing result last night we'll be looking to bounce back with a big win tonight. Could potentially be a tricky fixture with the likes of Kerr and MPT knowing the quickest way round along with Auty. but they'll need back up from the likes of Douglas and Wilkinson at reserve to have a chance of taking anything from the match. Teams for tonight: Edinburgh 1. Sam Masters 2. Theo Pijper 3. Erik Riss 4. Max Clegg 5. Ricky Wells 6. Josh Pickering 7. Mitchell Davey Scunthorpe 1. Michael Palm Toft 2. Tero Aarnio 3. Lewis Kerr 4. Ryan Douglas 5. Josh Auty 6. Carl Wilkinson 7. Ryan McDonald (G)

Paulco
Yawn You might be weary of that old chestnut , but it will be interesting to see how many fallers there are tonight . It's been a fabulous week weatherwise , so there's no excuses for the track tonight . But with the best will in the world , you can't seriously consider Scunthorpe to be any sort of threat to the Monarch's unbeaten home record . Currently bricking it at the thought of one of the lowest averaged teams visiting El Dale.
TheScotsman
Nothing much to say. Not the sort of fixture that'll have the masses queuing round the block. Hope the weather has behaved enough that there is a decent track tonight. The rain killed it for the past couple of matches. Scunny could run us close but that's more because we are only really running on 3 cylinders out of 7 (assuming 2 halves make 1 cylinder). No huge home advantage as has been evident by the closeness of most matches this season. I'm struggling to get enthused by this one. But I might venture over to the Showoff Ground on Sunday to see if Oystercard is still as rubbish as the last time I saw him.
TheScotsman
Well it's 3 points but a lot of improvement required.

stewmac
Yawn. That sums up the meeting entirely. Unfortunately there seems to be little or no actual excitement these days in most if not all the racing at Armadale.
Guest Scunny2012
Yawn. That about sums up the state of British speedway at the moment.
Gazc
That sums up the meeting entirely. Unfortunately there seems to be little or no actual excitement these days in most if not all the racing at Armadale. To be fair when you read some other fans points on other threads it appears that it is widespread at most tracks. Seems to be more poor than good at the minute.
TheScotsman
Slick tracks are likely not helping. And just so few personalities in the sport. And being completely disrespectful I don't see Scunny as much of a draw. I will probably travel 90 miles each way on Sunday to watch the Panties get taken down by the Weegies - hate both teams equally so completely neutral - but the racing might be decent. Won't bother going 48 miles each way to watch ippo v Scunny.

TheScotsman
Heavens GB you are so easily offended nowadays. Hate as in a sporting context obviously. I hate the Weegies. The Weegies hate us. At least it shows a little bit of enthusiasm amidst the morass of apathy overwhelming the sport. Maybe you've forgotten what enthusiasm you used to have? And I have been happy to have a drink with Weegy supporters and Panters ones. I might draw a line at Kings Lynn sometimes though. 😉

Unfortunately I can't now be bothered to go 10 miles down the road to watch Scunny on sundays, not enough teams in the league to keep me interested, mind you is there a match tomorrow, little interest in it still no thread on here

TheScotsman
It changed over a period of time. I was actually a season ticket holder and sponsor not that long ago. But I got more and more unhappy/disillusioned about their way of doing things (and with a couple of supporters) that I tipped over the edge. Shame because it's such a good race track and the supporters' club put in a huge amount of effort. And it's one of only a couple of venues that you would be happy to take anyone along to.
