Peterborough V Berwick 23/6/17

Recommended Posts

It's on the Peterborough website

Granted there is a small mention of it in the write up for tonight's meeting at Sheffield BUT no team line ups either for Berwick meeting or Glasgow on Sunday. Less than 24 hours now to tapes up tomorrow and no team info that's just not good enough!

Standard stuff with speedway generally though. Some tracks are not bad but most don't give out accurate or relevant information to their customers until the last minute.

It's easier when it's going well but the panic has set in early this season. Panthers already need binoculars to see the play-offs. It's not been this bad since 2008.

Well they haven't got much to write about at the moment.

Peterborough will rack up close to 60 and paper over any cracks for at least another week

Not the answer though ,whatever they score , they have been continuously let down by certain rider(s) who are past there sell by date .If we are ambitious then 2 changes have to be made or the season is over, that's it in a nutshell

I certainly don't think ged lacks ambition that's for sure. Signing grand prix legend harris shows that. I think it's nothing more than riders letting geds ambition down. Building a winning team isn't easy, just look at other teams that never win anything or anything for years. I think ged will have learnt his team building lessons after this season and build a totally different type of team next time.

Very true , i haven't a problem with having to carry Tom Bacon as the lad is on a learning curve and feel he is worth giving the chance to succeed as long as he keeps popping in with scores of 2 or 3 a meeting that's fine , but what i can't except is the continually poor performances of Ulrich Ostergaard every time we come up against one of the better sides. As For Richard Hall well it just defies belief why he was signed as a temp replacement, guest 2 pointers wouldn't have been any worse to be honest.

2 pointers isn't a problem, we started with 2 and still have 2. What they score is a bonus really. To succeed you need riders that score constantly and another couple that up their average. If you can keep holder for next year than that is great start. lambert and Ostergaard were never going to improve their averages. Both should have gone early in the season, but where there any replacement riders waiting for a call? I wouldn't know that bit.

Is this meeting cancelled due to complete apathy and lack of interest (or is that the same thing)?

Nothing on Berwick website or this forum about teams for tomorrow night.

Oh well.Who gives a sh*t anyway

Unforunately nobody does give a sh#t nowadays.Total drivel on Berwick site these days about what a supporter gets up to on his holidays is the best it gets. The "dirt" should be renamed the "drivel".

Rathbone wants to win and doesn't like losing money, that's a given I think. It isn't easy to find a successful formula I agree but the failings have been fairly obvious at the EoES for a decade but we never seem to learn the lessons so I wouldn't be quite as confident in the management team as you. Problem is it's not your team more often than not, it's what you can cobble together on the night all too often. It's depressing to be talking like this in June but we're only 15 points from a play-off place and our season is still alive according to Gavan ;)

Unfair as some of the Dirt blogs are good stuff and anyway it is at least original, what we want is the newsletter back.

I think he's learnt them from Swales.
