scoobydoo
Peterborough fans are basing there thoughts on the season not just four rides at Sheffield.
Crump99
Peterborough is definitely one of the better race tracks but that's not 'standard stuff' when I have been there. Checking over the last three meetings on BSF threads and proboards there's not much to suggest that anyone else thinks that either and this chap definitely doesn't : 'Not at 5pm on a hot Sunday it isn't. It'll soon be a one line gating competition'. Don't worry about that chap, bit of an idiot with his own agenda but plenty of experience of what he's talking about. Didn't he also say: "I don't mind saying that I was wrong on this occasion. Credit where it's due, that was a decent racing track without any dust. Not many places would be able to say that after 2 days of 30 degrees and a 5pm start. Very efficiently run as well, apart from guess the line-up in heat 7. How difficult is it to tell the punters (before riders are sitting at the tapes) that it's Bacon and not Hall coming out in this race " Edited June 23, 2017 by Crump99
Hooky
Well it was ok but not jaw dropping as some posts indicated. The EoES regularly serves up those racess. I wonder who chose the gates last night? Get them the right way round when it doesn't matter Got them the right way round? If you'd of watched the heat or even went to the meeting you would've seen that Bates and Howarth made better gates... The Showground didn't serve up any races like that on Sunday so it must be regular. With nothing at stake, Holder does what he does regularly on lap 1 and comfortably stays there. Harris finds himself 4th as per usual and does what he has done for all his career, never give up and rides out as wide as the dirt and air fence allows to join his partner. As I said, good but standard stuff for us. Clearly it doesn't happen too often down your way. And with something at stake Holder couldn't do what he does regularly on lap 1 and comfortably beat Grajczonek in heat 15 on Sunday could he? and Harris didn't do what he's done for all his career by never giving up and riding out as wide as the dirt and the air fence allows to pass Bates and join his partner... As you said, good but standard stuff for your boys, clearly happens often down your way until you open your eyes and wake up from la la land... I've got better things to do than get involved with Sheffield's version of Jenga.
Bagpuss
I thought it was a fantastic race, and I've seen a lot of speedway at a lot of tracks.
Gemini
http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.3108 What a heat that was! Holder and Harris scraping the fence to get past..... shame about the rest! Is the back straight blocked off as there doesn't seem to be anyone there? I suppose like most tracks the majority of fans are on the home straight or first bend.

The open areas at Owlerton have a capacity of 4,000 which is plenty for league racing.

Crump99
Is that because you're wrong and cannot defend what you've posted? Believe me I could go on all day and eventually you'd agree or give up. But people on here will get sick of it and temperatures will rise. I've been there many times before and on much bigger issues than whether a 60 second race was one one of the best ever seen Edited June 24, 2017 by Crump99

spin king
Had time to reflect on Thursday meeting. Massively solid performance from the Tigers with everyone making a contribution apart from the Guest reserve. For the Panthers, Holder was very good, Harris and BWD good in parts, Ostergaard, Hall and Starke were pants. Bacon did what was expect of him. That's 3 matches against Peterborough this season and we have taken 9 point to Peterborough 0 points that we have taken. Heat 15 was a cracking race, a credit to all 4 riders. Moving on like I have already said the present top 4 are looking the most likely to be one's who will fill the Play Offs place (dependant upon injuries) with an outside chance that Workington maybe snatching a place. Crump99
The P'boro stevebrum?Shouldn't bite really 😋 Only got 5 digits on each hand though and not directly related to everyone who attends my local speedway track 🙂 Edited June 24, 2017 by Crump99
Bagpuss
As comebacks go that's pretty weak and unoriginal, expected more from a man of your intelligence to be honest. Anyway, do you reckon you'd get brum to give up first if you had a 'discussion' with him? Bold claim if so.

Gemini
Dogs not allowed at a greyhound stadium? Lol. I'd be quite prepared to show up to date vaccination records and my 2 are probably as healthy as some of those Greyhounds. Don't know the real reason but seems par for the course at dog racing tracks, Coventry being an exception thank goodness.....although that sadly doesn't matter now. Sounds a bit lke heat 13 today with Holder doing what Holder does with Harris eventuall joining him Heat 13: Holder,Harris,Summers,Lawson(Retired)...62.8. (5-1). 47-33. Line Up: Harris , Holder , Lawson , Summers Comments: Holder is pure entertainment round the showground and he is so dominant, he gates last but cuts back to go between both Tigers down the back straight lap 1 but Summers gets back up the inside down the home straight so Holder repeats his pass and holds it this time. (speedwayupdates/peterborough-glasgow) along with "Ostergaard was all over the track bouncing off the fence down the straights 2 or 3 times" Standard stuff down our way As comebacks go that's pretty weak and unoriginal, expected more from a man of your intelligence to be honest. Anyway, do you reckon you'd get brum to give up first if you had a 'discussion' with him? Bold claim if so. It was a bit weak and tired, much like myself tbh - thanks for the compliment Golden rule was, when we were able to frequent the highr echelons of the forum before our demise, to never reply to brum under any circumstances, Naturally I did often but it's a big mistake.
