Sheffield V Peterborough 22/6/2017 7.30 Sgbcl

Boro are more than capable of winning this.

First 4-5 heats are vital. Cant give away 10+ lead early on.

I actually think Boro will take at least a point

Do we know who is set to guest at reserve yet?

The whole JPB thing is slightly confusing in that it should have been a 28 day ban, unless he returns to the same club in which case it is only 14 (eg Josh Auty style) - sure that I have seen he is returning to Birmingham colours which would suggest the 14 days rather than 28... but he hasn't been announced as being back with Sheffield. Not got an issue with him getting a reduced ban (if he has) as he is 16 and needs to be cut some slack IMHO, but would be nice to know.

In terms of the meeting, think it could be close, Peterborough have a top 5 who are proven race winners around our track in the past and don't see why this week should be any different

Joe Lawlor guesting for Sheffield, Shanes not interested in a place at Sheffield? Or is JPB going to come back? If he was going to come back then surely he'd be in the team tomorrow! Panthers have a real chance for revenge as long as their top five (with the exception of Holder) perform better than they did on Sunday.

Looks like it is now or never for the Panthers as they obviously think that come to Owlerton and get something from the meeting.

Could well come down to which reserve performs the best Branford or Hall.

Fully expect Bacon's night to be over by heat 6 and Lawlor's by heat 7.

I am going to go with a Sheffield win by 8, heartbreak for the Panthers getting so near but so far from getting anything from the meeting.

Yeah but check out Poole and Leicester's line ups..is there much difference now?

Perhaps not and who knows where the cost cutting will end? But in terms of status and importance the same still applies, restructure or not. There is no logic to two leagues of equal standard so you will always have an important one and a less important one, or one big league with some form of regionalisation in restructure2, the return of the restructure,

No chance UK riders want the chance to ride in 2 leagues and potentially double their income...

1 League will push up costs as riders will need to increase wage demands due to less meetings..

Why will they have less meetings ??

Premiership has 8 teams = 28 matches riding each other twice

Championship has 10 teams = 36 meetings riding twice

total = 64

Of the above some who double up miss lots of meetings due to clashes

1 big league 18 teams = 68 meetings riding each other twice

So more meetings and 18 weeks to fit it in so should work
