KevH
What is the point ? Wolves have got Piotr Pawlicki as an asset after he rode 2/3 of season for us. He was brilliant, one of the best youngsters I've seen, particularly as a Pole getting round Monmore. However I doubt if we will ever see him in a Wolves race jacket. So where's the gain ? The gain is if and when he does sign a contract to ride for another British team, Wolverhampton can negotiate a loan fee for him.

Well, yes. Lot of hard work for little reward if he opts/is told not to, though. I suspect as per Beowulf's earlier post that it will be once bitten, twice shy as far as Wolves go. poolebolton
Can see Nicolai Klindt doing one more meeting and getting his average then Pawel P coming in for a bit while NK heals up a bit more. And the Matt ford asset list grows and thats what he really wants.

I'm still trying to find what benefit this has for UK speedway - or am I missing the point!

Surely that has the knock on benefit of potentially raising attendance levels? If it does, there is your benefit for UK speedway! But my point is, I don't think we will see him riding for anyone. Fair enough, only time will tell.
INCOGNITO
You would imagine clubs are a bit reluctant because his Polish team could click their fingers at any time and he would have to go running, and that could mean no more UK. British clubs signed an agreement that all riders would be given priority for Polish meetings so that can happen with a number of riders. However Pawel hasn't been going great and has been left out a few times as Torun try and find a winning team but keep failing. If we're to go for a young Pole, it should be Maksym Drabik. An under 21 year old is like gold in Poland as they can be bought in at any time which was the problem with Pawlicki when he was at Wolves as Leszno were in the play offs and Wolves were struggling so they kept him there instead of risking him being injured here in a pointless meeting. He might never ride again in the UK after a few meetings this year. Waste of money and effort invest in U.K. based riders for goodness sake! Good in theory but with Poland restricting riders to just one other league next season, there will be a few riders leaving these shores and any investment in signing a rider is a gamble. What odds hes been assessed at 7 and will replace Thomas Jorgensen? Except Jorgensen has a 6.3 average and would of thought Pawel would be at least seven and given the chance could be a decent signing if he does want to gain extra meetings here.
