waco
With plenty of big hitters on both sides there should be some good racing,,in fact Lakeside may need some decent scores from the bottom 3 to clinch this one ..note the 7-30 pm start time different from fridays,,weather set fair ,,,Our top boys may not have it all their own way against Roynon and Boxall ? TonyE
Agree - looking forward to some entertaining racing.
East End Fan
Boxall and Roynon are as good a pair of riders as can be found in the NL. It will be the power we have in the middle order that will swing the match our way. But the meetings of the Big Guns should be worth the price of admission. Moleman27
yeah, think couple points from lower order and most of the points Alfie scores will swing it likely as a lakeside win.
liam
I am always honest and I have to say I didn't enjoy tonight. Hardly any passing except for Zach who really does look like he's going to be a star, long drawn out meeting again although I know this can't be blamed on the club and to finish it off I was attacked by flies most of the night ha. Also why when the meeting is drawn out like that can't they interview a rider or two? Nothing at all except Cook after heat 13, thought it was very poor presentation tonight. waco
Couple of big let downs to start with,,no programmes,,no Boxall, ...,Roynon tried hard but only managed one win against Hurry ,,, Zach 15 point max ,,Ben 13+2 paid max,...Paul 11,,4 rides ,...Alfie 8 +3 ...Nick 4.... Jamie and Connor 2 a piece, some good battles with Adam Roynon from Zack and Ben ,,, But the meeting was not as good as Kent last week , and the reserves are still struggling against riders who have not seen the track before,,,,,No guest either for Boxall ,which would likely have made it more interesting,,, crowd looked about the average likely when not a local derby,,track again well maintained throughout the meeting which took 2 hours,,Score Lakeside 55 Plymouth 35..... cityrebel
Not a good crowd for a Saturday meeting at arena. I fear the majority of the star struck hammers fans have deserted to the rockets. The group I stand with seems to shrink with every passing fixture, which is a worrying trend.
Brian
Thought Roynon was good value but disappointed with the R/R for Boxall. If I'd known Boxall was going to be unavailable I'd probably have stayed at home.

Bryce
Indeed. The guy stood next to me was an occasional visitor to Lakeside, and he also said he'd have stayed away had he known about Boxall. Things weren't helped when Plymouth lost Rob Parker without him completing a ride. Effectively the match was over before heat 2 was re run. Thankfully Roynan at least gave our top 4 something to think about and a couple of decent races ensued. Certainly not a match that will live long in the memory though. waco
No guest for Boxall, and on his average it should not have been impossible to get some one decent, shame on the Plymouth management, should have been a good meeting ,but was,nt ...Now Lakeside may have lost some fans through no fault of their own.... If Boxall only withdrew yesterday then it would've been difficult for the Plymouth promotion to get a good guest in with such a limited time constraint. People wouldve moaned if it was a poor number 1, but at least using R/R meant Devils riders got a ride including Roynon.
East End Fan
Boxall's absence a major factor in lost entertainment making it far too easy for us though it was good to see Adam Roynon looking so good' At one time he had the makings of a world beater. Pity he had so many serious injuries.

marko
Maybe no one they thought would be a suitable replacement was interested in taking the booking, just look at the Eastbourne vs Aces match amongst others recently, guests or R/R galore, in that respect this league is no better than the top flight. Lakeside should have been honest with the fans about the team news as soon as they knew, ok it would have put some people off but is that any better than having people come under false pretences and then deciding they wont bother anymore. Next Sunday will be interesting if Rye and Lakeside go head to head.
waco
Rye and Lakeside head to head equals poor planning is it any wonder speedway is in such a mess.....
cityrebel
With Harris due to ride for Peterborough, I wonder if the rye meeting will go ahead.
marko
its a challenge meeting against Coventry to help keep them relevent, so not vital for Bomber to be there, not that it probably matters on reflection as those who have chosen Rye would go to Rye anyway, maybe some who were on the fence or tried to frequent both will pick Rye? who knows? Lakeside don't help themselves with their continued dishonesty towards the fans, meetings taking an age to run and reading that there were no programmes last night is really unprofessional, I see they have also taken away the standing area on the stock car track, I guess the numbers coming in don't justify it being set up.
