waco
Another close encounter with Kent should provide good racing,,Hope we have a strong ref on jump starts , not like the last time they were here..Connor Locke makes his debut and i am hoping he can prove me wrong and get some points ,,If he has to ride at number two it will be difficult... I think we will need at least 6 to 7 points from the bottom three to win this one,..Hope all the riders have a good safe meeting,,Weather looking OK..........hopefully.... East End Fan
Hard one to call, but with Kent using r/r for Clifton, I think we should take this by at least 10 points. Our top 3 will be too much for them to handle.

teaboy279
Yeah a big kent contingency should be heading up as we all have withdrawal symptoms. I don't think a league point is out of the question.

greyhoundp
A 15 point maximum from the 7 point man, still wondering how this average was arrived at, a Blind man and his dog knew this average was way to low, I wont even begin to go into how the averages got low enough to fit him in..
liam
What a great meeting that was, as good as I have seen for a long time. Some great racing from start to finish especially with Ben, Zach, Paul and Luke Bowen. Faultless 15 point maximum from the youngster which Iam sure won't upset anyone ha. Wonder what the meeting will look like on YouTube
waco
Brilliant advert for national league speedway,,one of the best meetings ive seen at this level..it was close untill heat 12 when lakeside finally started to pull away, tremendous fighting efforts from Hurry 15 point max,,Morley 13+1 ,Zach 10 ,Bowtell 6,,And for Kent who played their part,, Bowen ,Thomas,,Hopwood and young Rowe till he faded a little in his last 3 rides of 7 ,starts....Score Lakeside 52,Kent 38....... Oh and the bottom 3 chipped in with 8 points between them..great team effort ,,The stay away Elite league snobs missed a treat.....Roll on the next meeting i say..!

The standard formula that knocks a percentage off the average for each year out if the sport. Hurry was given the average during the winter and wasn't named in the Lakeside squad at the start of the season so he was available for Kent ir anyone else to sign if they wished. None of the other clubs wanted him now they are moaning because Lakeside have him.

None of the other clubs wanted him now they are moaning because Lakeside have him. You have no idea how Hurry was given that average. None of us have, because its never been explained (nor will it be). Last season, three riders were assessed at 3.5 due to taking time out of the sport. That had nothing to do with their previous average at all, it was simply an assessed figure. This season, when Isle of Wight wanted a rider using that rule it was dropped. What we have is the usual make it up as you go along, face fitting, prejudiced and inconsistent decision making made by faceless and unnamed individuals who take no responsibility whatsoever for their actions.

Wonder what the meeting will look like on YouTube I agree. Speaking as a self confessed Elite Lite league snob it was by far the best NL meeting I have seen ( not that I have seen many) and there will be a lot of meetings at Premier and Championship league track were the racing is nowhere near what we saw last night., especially heats 13 and 15. It wasn't just the racing but the score line was quite exciting from a spectator point of view with nothing in it for the first half of the meeting before the home team established their authority in the closing stages. Both teams rode well. Apart from the big scorers, Nick Laurence and Jamie Cousins are looking a bit smother and more confident and both has some good races where they held on for vauable points. Connor Locke struggled at first but eventually came to the party and chipped in with some well earned points on a track that was new to him. Most impressive was Alfie Bowtell, really coming on, really showing some improvement and absolutely fearless. A great performance from him down in the engine room at.No 4.
TonyE
Agree, it was a good meeting to watch although somewhat drawn out. I am still trying to figure out why Alfie was excluded/disqualified in his first ride where he showed all the qualities of an out and out racer. There was absolutely no contact and Stoneman seemed to fall off from the shock of being passed!
