TurnTwo
Why would they?
Fromafar
When they made their re-declaration to bring Jake Knight in before Saturdays deadline Alex Spooner was the unavoidable 3 pointer to make it work. Spooner almost immediately changed his mind leaving them short for Saturdays planned match with Kent which was postponed. I believe Saul was a short gap volunteer to fill in the re- declaration while a replacement was found and Hampshire is their desired target. Â Would not surprise me if Hampshire is declared at No 6 , Saul at No 8 & given a pit job. Â Very difficult being a promoter in this mainly young and amateur league where riders come and go at the drop of a hat to suit their other life preferences. That a new saying "this mainly young and amateur league".they might surprise you with the money they make.

*JJ
Why would they? Lying.
Sings4Speedway
Why would they? Â Â Lying. Â If every club face charges for lying Speedway would close down tomorrow. Â The Saul thing was just badly conveyed and nothing would ever stick.....could have had work commitments, they changed but Eastbourne honored the guest they had booked, equipment not ready in time, race suit still having adjustments made the list would be endless.
*JJ
So why not say so? Mushroom syndrome again.
TurnTwo
Doesn't the rule book say a rider can be absent for any reason? Maybe Eastbourne are just taking advantage of the rules.

That's correct. They could just sign Hampshire though as if he missed a meeting it'd be the same options available as when Saul misses a meeting. I recon they'll give Hampshire a go as a guest for the next 2 meetings as a trial and make sure he wants to ride permanently for the season, then re declare him in the team instead of Saul.
