Glasgow V Berwick Sunday 4 June 2017 6pm

Was an okayish meeting . Any of the races between Nick Morris and our three heat leaders was entertaining , but that was it really . Agreed that Etheridge looked much better than the rider that was so publically slated by his parent club's promotion last season . Another three points safely tucked away , bring on Worky next .

Nick is still value round Ashfield and when Glasgow first brought him over in 2010 and loaned him to Buxton in that year he was then a very raw talent , it is very gratifying to see how far Nick has progressed.

A touch frustrating as well though that our No1 in 2015 who claimed mid season he couldnt adjust to the track shape turns up 18 months later and puts in a blinder. He took a point off his average from the previous year when he joined us from Somerset and took another half point off with us to finish 2015 on 7.91. We never did see the best of him that year. Noticeable he didnt come round at all today for a victory lap or after ht15.

Not according to John Campbell there wasn't .

Were the words not something along these lines " possibly the worst overseas rider to ride here " used to describe him.

Glad he has rammed those words back down his throat,

That phrase was mentioned by the centre green announcer last night. I wondered where it came from. Chuffed for Jye this weekend, the scores will have done his confidence the world of good. Quite happy with the win last night and 38 points tonight, given that Lewis Bridger was missing. Green chutes of recovery appearing?

Hopefully, it is frustrating as a supporter when your team are getting humped consistently as we know full well at Glasgow we have been in the same position numerous times.

But good to see Berwick showing signs of recovery.

True but Nick is a much improved rider now even only going back two years the improvement is noticeable.

Nick was never a rider who ever done a victory lap even when he rode for us on the odd occasion yes but very rarely , alway's seemed to be one of those riders that just got on with it and never really took the plaudits.

Heard it was a decent meeting, well done to berwick for putting on a good show and to Glasgow for getting another win. Etheridge did pretty good, and it really shows how great of a rider Nick Morris is when he beats 3 heat leaders at their home track. Wonder how it would have been had Bridger been there? There's always another time.

I think that's what the headline writer wrote not actually what JC said which was more on the lines of the lowest scoring so far of all the 2016 newcomers.

But that's newspapers for you - as you know by the paper headlines about our football team.

True the gutter press in this country are just that.

The last time I picked up a paper up here was in a toilet that ran out of toilet roll best place for them.

Indeed though perhaps Arma isnt his type of track. With a good run at reserve he can boost his confidence and bank balance to reinvest in better equipment.

Similar to Josh P. this season - he could be earning a lot more if he had a bigger home track but he knows (and Sam says) that when he has mastered Armadiddle he'll be able to ride everywhere.

Absolutely agree.

But such minority sports as ours need every inch of coverage we can get.

But it's a big price to pay.
