No doubt if the boot was on the other foot the curfew would've been broken to give a result.

So a speedway result is more important to you than a riders health.. Unbelievable Edited by KEITH M

Hope Coty is ok - worst looking crash I have seen in a long time, he was catapulted way up into the air and over the safety fence onto the grass behind. Truly shocking to see.

Couldn't believe he was excluded as well - Lawson seemed to straighten on the inside of him which resulted in both of them crashing. After seeing Lawson's histrionics when JBA had the temerity to outgate him at Glasgow god knows how he would have reacted had Coty been on the inside of him.

Four panels of the air fence were damaged in the crash which lead to a good 40 minute delay as there were only 3 spares and also quite a lot of damage to the wire fence behind. Then when that was fixed it was announced that Coty was still receiving treatment and eventually, with no paramedic cover, the curfew was reached.

Can understand Glasgows frustration as they were giving us a good tonking, much faster out of the gate and helped by Garrity not keeping still and going off 15 m in every ride.

Lots of accusations from the Glasgow camp that the Bears were deliberately delaying things - Kevin Keay publicly refuted those in the strongest possible terms.

Quiet night all round really.

Seems to have been a bit of a riot start to finish.... McGregor not a popular man in either camp. So frustrating as we were on our way to 4 by the look of it. Bassa.

Stewart Dickson making his thoughts clear:

:nono:

I would say those thoughts are anything but clear !

Kevin refuted those claims very strongly on the microphone a couple of times throughout the delay. Would have been much easier to just not fix the fence than 'feign' injury as Dickson appears to insinuate. First responder turned up just after ten as I was leaving and find it pretty distasteful to suggest anything otherwise

When you look at things you would have thought the most logical thing to do under the circumstances would have been to declare heat 10 with only the two Glasgow riders left in it or is that too sensible.

Stewart not happy it appears, but whilst it may leave a bitter taste it is something you would never be able to prove that the delays were deliberate with the Redcar management disputing them.

I would imagine Stewart won't be in any great rush to reschedule going by his comments unfortunately these things happen.

I would love to read what Steward Dickson was really thinking ;)

Think we have a fair idea what Jose was thinking and his statement was toned down by the censors . :D

It would have certainly ended any debate, but was just the last of a list of bizarre decisions by the ref all night!

Just saw it was McGregor that explains a lot he is the master of the limelight as in wanting to take it.

To be fair I did hear it was a trainee ref in charge tonight (and indeed it was his exam!) so McGregor could not interfere,

Believe the ref is only able to declare a race result only after at least one rider has completed two laps before it was stopped.

You are technically correct in what you say but surely some degree of common sense should come into it at some point.
