mudflaps
Unfortunately his form is poor everywhere. Your argument is meaningless. A few bad crashes may have understandably affected him and he's not the dare devil he once was. Hope he gets his mojo back as he was exciting to watch when on best form. comes across as a nice guy too. but - he will be back at Poole next season as the "Manchester United" of speedway - regain their trophy machine and reclaim their "rightful" place of best speedway team in the UK.. and he will be smacking in maximums you mark my words. Â and I like holder as a bloke and rider but can see what's going to happen come next season.. Â Everyone will be going - "Damn that Flyin Panther what an astute guy!! waytogo28
Whose Thiery apart from a french footballer? Â The Thierry I most remember was the knock em all down or crash Thierry Hilaire at Milton Keynes. He truly was scary to watch AND dangerous to team mates and opponents ( that's my theory anyway ).

waytogo28
Does anyone else remember Thierry Hilaire at Milton Keynes? He made Roman Matousek look very benevolent on track. Or is the mix of medication swirling my mind?

CookieIpswich
This is why Speedway needs a grading system based on previous seasons scores, scores on the continent, gp status etc  Grades A,B,C,D  Give promotors 4 ways of team building  A,B,B,C,C,D,D A,A,C,C,D,D,D A,B,B,B,C,D,D B,B,B,C,C,C,D  instead of averages riders can only go up a grade, not fall down a grade, grades are decided at the end of the season for team building purposes and remain until the end of april which can be the first transfer window.  Grades are restablished 1st july for a 10 day transfer window period and remain until grades are set the following season. SCB
So averages of averages. Every time someone mentions grading a small part of me dies. If grade A is riders with a 9+ average and grade B is riders averages 7.00-8.99 then a rider average 8.99 is going to be in demand while a rider who got 9.00 (so nothing between them) is going to be a poor signing.  Right now if a team has 6 riders but has 4.00 points to play with they sign a 4.00 riders. You're suggesting that instead they would have 6 riders, and room for a grade D but if grade D is 4.00 or less then its no different.  Where your idea is rubbish, at the moment if you have room for 2 riders, you have 12 points, it means you can bring in a 10 and a 2, a 9 and a 3, an 8 and a 4, a 7 and a 5 or two 6s. With your suggestion, you HAVE to being in an A and a D. You lose flexibility.  Grading is a stupid idea. They are all the bad parts of averages and none of the good parts. CookieIpswich
SCB Can't argue with that haha  Maybe a rider can only drop a certain % off his starting average to stop teams building good sides mid season  But has his true average start of the following season  Example  Holder starts on 12.00 but can only fall 25% below that so if he averages 6/7 or whatever it is at present for team building he's a 9 minimum  If he averages 8.5 in real terms thats his true average for next season  Stops any manipulation to a degree but in holders case I think its just machinery and confidence
