waytogo28
One of the problems is that Stars fans have had to take big downer on Kenneth Bjerre for a year, then Batchelor for a year, and now it won't be long before we have Holder for half a year. A lot of disappointment to suffer.
Arthur54
I think Darcy's crash, plus his own, affected him a great deal. It also seemed to have an effect on Troy Bachelor and Nick Morris but they seem back on it this year. Chris, though, was probably his closet friend. Chris, though, was probably his closet friend. I don't think Chris has been the since that fateful day when his best buddy had that tragic accident, and I think that was the end of Davy Watt when that happened, which has also had the knock on affect on Poole speedway, things aren't the same and I don't think they ever will be
ray c
I will say straight away Holder is as genuine as rider as I have seen. No-one will tell me he's not trying..The way he battled with Bomber last week was something to behold , neither giving an inch. The difference being world class, to being very good is of small margins, Chris although still very good is fractionally off his all conquering best, but it will come........ Â Just a pity posters cant get off his back and leave him to get it right. At least he is one of the few remaining stars, that are bothered to compete on these shores..... quite agree Chris is top class. As for lowering is average don't believe that either
Trees
He had a good meeting in Torun as did Hancock so maybe... let's see what he does tonight....
Dekker
With no rolling aves and new averages after 4 h and 4 a, then the promoters have had a field day strengthening up by " fiddling " their averages. In this case it is more exaggerated due to Chris's high starting ave. Once again promoters set up rules that can be used to strengthen up during the season  Is it any wonder that the media show so much disdain to Speedway ? why they abandon rolling aves? HenryW
He had a good meeting in Torun as did Hancock so maybe... let's see what he does tonight....I believe Hancock abandoned his Peter Johns machinery for that meeting. Not sure if Holder did the same. why they abandon rolling aves? They couldn't really keep using them at the start of this season when some riders were on adjusted EL averages and others on old PL ones.  I think the plan is to use rolling averages going forward but they had to start again after the mess they made of them with the EL race format over recent years. Crazy robin
And how's Dudek doing ? Monster! Let's hope it's just monster drink but with his past it could be added other stuff as well.

Was and still is his closest friend - they still speak at least every week!! Its other off-track stuff that is affecting him in a similar - but not the same - way that Davey Watt was affected. Mark
What do stars fans think about Chris Holder taking the pi$$ by signing for them on a CMA of 12.53 and managing to get his average down to GSA 6.53 by the end of may - in a watered down league..  I bet Matt Fraud is laughing his head off as he prepares team building ideas for 2018.... Unfortunately his form is poor everywhere. Your argument is meaningless. A few bad crashes may have understandably affected him and he's not the dare devil he once was. Hope he gets his mojo back as he was exciting to watch when on best form. comes across as a nice guy too. A lot of disappointment to suffer.  Yeah the Stars have had a few bad injury years of late and each time it has cost us dearly....... Injuries effect different riders different ways . Both KB and Batch were bad smashes and their mental scares are sometimes worse than the physical ones.., I hate to think what effect some of these accidents have, to us mear watchers it bad enough.....  Top riders achieve their status through hard work . and when they are sometimes off their standard everyone jumps on the bandwagon saying this and that without one thought of what the rider is going through. I try to work on the principal that form is temporary, whereas class is far more permanent. When these class riders suffer a set back, give them time and they will recover.  I had no doubt that both KB and Batch would regain their prowess and no doubt Holder will do the same...
lynnboy
Chris was riding ok last year and won a GP and had the same personal issues last year as he does this year, I personally think it's his machinery myself

poolebolton
Is it no possible that a rider just hits the wall. Holder did alright for Torun though but still he should dominate most leagues as is a number 1 in every league.  I think that this will be Greg's last year in GP's because he is struggling and well you can win 4 WC but age takes its tole  Same with Holder but just simply injuries and Darcy and being dropped by Poole has hit him quite hard.   The worry for me is watching this Lejonen meeting is as he comes 4th is that he is loosing ground on riders such as Bjarne Pedersen.  He came forth by a whole bend which is a lot to lose by.
