If both Wright and Perks are now fully fit, would expect a Bears win. Intrigued to see Ayres in action, not expecting him to score a boatload of points but certainly to be entertained by him!

Would expect Aarnio to score well, rode well here in the Julie Lewis meeting at the start of the season.

I kind of get the feeling that Scunny are under the microscope from the management tonight. Rob's ultra loyal to his riders; but I feel his benevolence it beginning to wane a little. Certainly cannot see him accepting another home reverse on Monday v Diamonds; so all Scorpions will be under the beady eye I reckon.

Tonight is a meeting we should be 'in' all the way; at least if not looking to take points so it is going to be interesting. Great night for it as well.

This does not look good tonight; in all fairness we should be running Redcar closer than this. No Barker for them and still we fighting the tide ?. Think Rob will be taking everybody into the boardroom at this rate.

Fair to say if Barker had been riding and some better referee decisions this could have been a big win. Wright was excluded in first ride when he clearly laid his bike down as Douglas virtually stopped. And then the ref to call back a Bears 5-1 and then warn Palm Toft - who was last for moving, that was one of the worst decisions I have seen for a long time.

But what can we say about Ayres - his first ride was brilliant and Perks looked like he had never been away - Ayres could be the difference between us getting in the play-offs, a few weeks and he could be as good as Perks around the STMP.

And to be fair to Garcia tonight, he looked better than Anderson for me, who is not quite doing it but he isnt riding poor by any stretch.

Fingers crossed for Ben, but he seems to be positive about returning this week - it is a shame as he was just hitting form.

If Ben is back soon, as we hope, this Bears team could be formidable.

Firstly, Ben had an accident at home this morning. Was found by his mechanic at the bottom of the stairs and unable to move. Has been in hospital all day where he has regained feeling, and according to Kevin Keay he hopes to be riding on Saturday(!?). From how Kev described it, would imagine he will be out for a bit longer than that but best wishes to Ben.

Its only based on 1 meeting, but I love Danny Ayres! Quick out of the gate, made a couple of great passes and an absolute showman. Plus a great quote when interviewed - "I'm not here to make the numbers up, I want to be a game changer". Based on today, he could be the key to us getting a play off spot. Ellis Perks was also superb again, god how we missed him. In his own words, only maybe 85% fit but a superb 10+1 and good to see Wright back in the big scores. Even though we only won by 9, it did feel a lot more comfortable than that.

Kerr and MPT were both good value for Scunthorpe, and Aarnio battled hard (a bit too hard on a couple of occasions I thought!). Not much support from the rest of the team though and Auty looked a shell of the rider he used to be.

As RR states IF we can get a full 1-7 back, fully fit and riding to their potential this could be a very strong team.

Superb performance from the reserves- Ayres was great and battled superbly in all of his races and fantastic to have Perks back (makes all the difference).

Felt for Garrity with his bike troubles whilst comfortably leading and then locking up on the last bend after a fantastic ride in Heat 15.

Replaced by???

I've already suggested Berge for Auty and Nielsen for Wilkinson when fit but something has got to happen or Rob Godfrey will be facing a near empty stadium
