Sheffield V Glasgow, 25th May 2017.

If the Sheffield Tigers have got their gating heads on , like they have had for most of the season, they will take some stopping. I will take Sheffield to win by 8-10 points.

Gating seems to be the defining factor at Sheffield these days with little or no passing. Glasgow can trap themselves but need to get off to a good start to keep the pressure on the home team. An edgy affair in prospect!

It's a beautiful sunny day here in South Yorkshire. Get down to Owlerton tonight to see some top notch entertainment and a home win 50-40.

No that's wishful thinking. It will be gate and go end of race. We might get a bit of action on the first bend and a couple of races with some overtaking fingers crossed.

have they improved track drastically over the last week then?

It had a good soaking last week and there seemed to be plenty of depth to it. There were some deepish tyre tracks around the outside of the track surface which gave the appearance of plenty of dirt. Still that was last week when they expected rain (and they got plenty of it) this week, well probably back to the same old same old!

Well the beautiful sunny day bit is right anyway, not bad a 50% sucees rate, or a 50% failure rate depending on how you look at it
