SteveLyric2
I'd forgotten about DN. and I clearly didn't witness that incident. There are plenty of others that may well have done similar!!

Yes im sure many riders would have liked to give Barker a hard time. However North went far far beyond what was necessary

However in this case North was behind Barker and coming out of turn 2 went up the inside and looked over , turned right and took him to the fence. Barker shut off, then going into turn 3 North shut off, Barker went round the outside and North looked right and basically just drove him into the fence. It was pre meditated and the actions i.e slowing up to allow a rider to get level with you then fencing him, was awful to watch
DSC67
Could be interesting at Berwick next Saturday , with 3 Aussies in our line up BB will have plenty opportunities to get his alleged dislike of Australians out his system
SCB
Could be interesting at Berwick next Saturday , with 3 Aussies in our line up BB will have plenty opportunities to get his alleged dislike of Australians out his system I don't think it's Ben doesn't like Aussies (on track I don't think Ben likes anyone!) it's that Aussies don't like Ben as he wouldn't give evidence for a couple of them in court a few years back. foamfence
We had riders such as Joe Haines , not being able to take up a place in the World under 21's because of financial constraints . If the BSPA were serious about pushing the progress of young British riders that kind of thing wouldn't be an issue as the riders in question would be given that support . Whatever people think of Woffinden is irrelevant , in this instance not using a double world champion when he offers help just beggers belief . He hasn't offered help (others have), he attempted to take charge. If he volunteered help, he could influence things from inside. Apologies for going off topic. lewy
Maybe he didn't have the bottle, unlike one of the Aussies, by all accounts?Maybe by not giving evidence he did them a favour as we are not in the know of what actually happened probably best not to make assumptions. Two sides to every coin and all that!

cheekycobra
Nick Morris threw a punch at barker a few weeks back (Prob hurt Morris more as helmets are harder than knuckles). Never realised there was Barker/Aussie history, makes sence now, Morris has his dummy still at the MPA waiting for him. EnglishRoundabout
Over the years I've seen spats at Somerset involving Barker and Grajczonek, Barker and Morris, Barker and both Kurtz brothers. There is loads of under lying stuff going on. In essence though, Barker doesn't give a stuff. I've seen him after a 'no holds barred' race, stood in the pits facing the opposition riders, chest puffed out, not giving a monkeys. He's a great little racer. But the Nicki Pedersen of British speedway. Sadly, without the same ability.

On ability I have known Ben for years, he had loads of ability to go a long way in the sport but was for a long time surrounded by idiots plus he had some horrendous crashes. He is however a nice lad with huge bravery and passion plus he is proud to be British.

DSC67
So what's this about Barker not giving evidence for Aussies? Which ones? How many Aussie riders can you think of that have been involved serious court cases in recent years ?

ProudtobeaBrummie
I have heard some very bad stories about BB and have witnessed it myself when some riders had blocked hes van in so he couldn't leave a certain stadium because he hadn't paid certain people in the end he left in a ambulance (on track incident ) and there wasn't a Aussie in sight that night. On the other hand hes a 100% rider and fantastic with the fans and cant fault him for that. Tai told me a funny story once that bens always been a plonker they had a dust up when they were teenagers.. All in all its safe to say everyone knows what hes like he is very much mar mite

Perhaps he thought Woffy was Australian

Ive spoke to him in the pits at poole several times and comes across ok.
