IronScorpion
A lot will also depend on the Championship to Premiership conversation rate. I agree . It has been talked about a lot but not seen anything about the conversion rate. A 1.2 multiplier has been mentioned most.
stevebrum
There should be a big reduce on British riders otherwise you will only get a Tai/Lambert every few years. You will only get a Tai or Lambert every few years. Both have done things their own way and that's why they are both exceptional talents (Tai proven, lambert mighty strides so far.) We are a few years away from the likes of Parkinson Blackburn, Kyle Bickley as examples getting close to the standards that Lambert is at. We need a much better plan to help that generation that Tai can offer assistance but it's fallen on deaf ears.

Keep telling you Tai has burnt his bridges at the British Speedway head office, Not a popular figure anymore within British Speedway and won't be encouraged to help British kids anymore. And that's why we won't have another rider of that standard for a long time. The BSPA haven't a clue or care enough. Shame, the next generation can learn tons from the multi British world champion.

robert72
The topic is Ben Barker not Tai!!!! Stevebrum is besotted with tai and brings his beloved one into nearly every post. As for Ben he is a quality racer and I would like to see him in the lions team.
Bald Bloke
Barker for Porsing.Close one.Porsing should be scoring better than he is.BB is prone to the odd injury. But gets stuck in.

That is absolute nonsense, we have the Poultec set-up and training camps, we have experienced riders involved and we even have guidance on personal fitness and diet, what we don't have is learning to talk out of the wrong orifice, that seems to be the preserve of such as you. We had riders such as Joe Haines , not being able to take up a place in the World under 21's because of financial constraints . If the BSPA were serious about pushing the progress of young British riders that kind of thing wouldn't be an issue as the riders in question would be given that support . Whatever people think of Woffinden is irrelevant , in this instance not using a double world champion when he offers help just beggers belief .

As for Ben he is a quality racer and I would like to see him in the lions team. and you're the troll that attacks Tai at every given chance. Anyway it's about Ben so back to topic. That is absolute nonsense, we have the Poultec set-up and training camps, we have experienced riders involved and we even have guidance on personal fitness and diet, what we don't have is learning to talk out of the wrong orifice, that seems to be the preserve of such as you.In your opinion. Let's see how many progress to Robert and Tai's level in the next 3 or 4 years. And thanks for the little attack at the end. You just lost the argument afaic. Anyway back to Ben. Think he can offer a top flight team good value dependant on his average. Edited May 21, 2017 by stevebrum
lewy
Lets keep topic about ben and have personal squabble free topic for a change. One thing with BB you always get 100% commitment.
SteveLyric2
One of the issues with BB is that he has baggage - and many riders have long memories. Maybe best suited to a team with no Aussies?!
Bagpuss
Or maybe the Aussies could just get over themselves and do their jobs regardless?

Maybe best suited to a team with no Aussies?!Thats the problem it is british speedway not australian speedway the number of aussies should be restricted imo they dont give a toss about us we are just a stepping stone to poland and sweden plus they are expensive to have in your team. Gavan
One of the issues with BB is that he has baggage - and many riders have long memories. Maybe best suited to a team with no Aussies?! Best suited to a team without Dakota North who quite simply should have been banned for what he did to Barker but hey ho. Barker will improve any top flight side if his average dictates he isnt a heat leader. Would be one of the better second strings
ray c
I think ben is own worst enemy at time's but certainly deserve a place in the premiership league 100% committed most of the time

Gavan
I think we've seen the last of Dakota North as he seems content to doss around Aussie (going by his Instagrams) Nothing really against Dakota North but what he did to Barker that night at Ipswich was one of the most disgraceful things ive seen any rider do on a speedway bike. Barker is hard and at times reckless but North tried to fence him down the straight and failed then on the bend waited for him and just rode him through the fence. The 2 may have had past issues but there is stepping over the line and then just disgraceful riding
