Scunthorpe Scorpions V Ipswich Witches ( S G B Championship) - Sunday, May 21st (5.30pm)

Winning away with not everyone at their best is always a brucie bonus. Good chance the top four at the moment will be there at the end of the league campaign, definitely the best four teams in the league imo...

A top 2 or 4 team to only win by 2 points when 2 of our top 4 are struggling is a poor result but a win is a win. I expected you to have got all 4 though so a point dropped.:lol::t:

Blupanther is a Panthers fan, the clue is in his name ;)

I'd never say a point dropped it's difficult winning anywhere away from home in this sport and 4 point away wins are pretty rare.

Great meeting with some equally great racing from both sides. Scunthorpe is one of those tracks that if I ever moved near to i could watch every week.

King superb 15 point max.

Schlein and Greaves both great.

Heeps, Sedgemen and Newman all had one good race. Mountain was on the pace

Up the Witches

Actually, i live in Suffolk and been going to Foxhall since 1971. I also started going to Peterborough regularly in 2009 after the World Team Cup qualifier...

But you're a Panthers fan, not an Ipswich fan? Apologies if that's incorrect but you certainly don't come across as an Ipswich supporter on here..

3rdmeeting ive been to this year at the 3rd venue and still yet to see a home win.. Scunthorpe is a fantastic track to watch speedway. Im am hour away in York but will be coming as much as possible. That said the team definately needs looking at you could see ht 13 a mile off being an away 1-5

I follow both teams and remain neutral when they meet. In 2011 when the Panthers offered Elite League racing after the Witches dropped down Boro became my Elite team, but unfortunately neither team are now in the top league...

Loved it at Scunny - great race track.

Super meeting and all the better for a Witches win.

My man of the match Nathan Greaves 👍

As brilliant as Danny and Rory were his score was the difference.

Contributions all round as well. Hope the boys liked the noisy support.

Why do scunny persevere with wilko hes crap

Have to agree, getting a bit like Richard Hall now although if averages fit can see him being replaced by Aarnio when Nielsen comes back.

I'm a neutral here and been to every scunny home meeting this year.

Well done to a witches win but to be brutally honest you dropped a point today.

Sadly I think the scunny track is no where near how good it used to be and found today's meeting boring. I'm seeing more and more races that are strung out and not counting but I would guess on 1/2 the usual passes.

Best of luck to both teams for the rest of 2017

Yet another disappointing outcome for Scunny...It wasn't a bad meeting, there was some good racing, one or two stand out moments... but not a classic by EWR standards.

Fair play to Ipswich, always looked like edging it, particularly the way King and Schlein were riding.. Some hard but fair moves by Schlein proved to seal the deal.

As for Scunny.. Its a shame Howarth couldn't emulate last weeks heroics, did ok but nowhere near as good as last week.. Kerr the pick of the home riders... Again, too many under performers... That said, three tape exclusions and an engine failure possibly cost us a win today.

But yet again its quite evident that we lack a proper number one... its galling. With every home defeat, you can feel the enthusiasm from the home support draining away... myself included, never thought i'd hear myself say that!

Unfortunately afternoon meetings never supply as much good racing as we had on the Friday night ones, it also seems to take away any home advantage we used to have, in the past Scunny rarely win on sundays or bank holiday mondays.

Fridays good for me!!!!! But to be honest scunny need an out and out number 1.

Supporters need to get off Josh Auty's back and support the lad as he's going through a bad time, being dropped by Leicester stinks after he rode his ass off last year for little reward.

Let's get behind the riders I say,,,,,, end of excuses!!!
