Scunthorpe Scorpions V Ipswich Witches ( S G B Championship) - Sunday, May 21st (5.30pm)

Recommended Posts

TEAM NEWS: Sadly MPT is absent due to a sickness bug today, but we're delighted to have secured the services of Kyle Howarth as a guest.

I expect we will see the other Mr Auty compared to last week as well

Howarth IMO is the most improved rider in the league this year so definately strengthens

Another last minute change is that a noisy quartet of the massif will be deaprting Ipswich in a while to back up the Witches

Im sure we will - Baldy cant make it 😆

(Joke - missing you already Baldy 😩)

Never been to Scunny before - perhaps Lucifer Sam will be kind enough to save us 4 seats in the main grandstand 😜

I think we will lose this one though i hope not.

The inclusion of Howarth makes Scunthorpe stronger. He got a maximum for Sheffield at Scunthorpe the other week

I can see Wilkinson outscoring Heeps

Kerr could outscore Sedgman

Douglas at home will do better than Newman

I believe Schlein will outscore Auty , though that isnt a given

At reserve with Aarnio Scunny look stronger

I hope we can secure a point or maybe 2 but this will be tough i think (hope im on later being proved totally wrong lol)

This team beat Glasgow at home and are stronger now.

Losing our captain maybe not good for morale & geeing up the lads but someone will step up to the plate.

A very decent guest in Kyle Howarth, especially after last week. If he can repeat that score then he should help us AND help his parent club. A double bonus.

Howarth was fast out the gate and attacked the track at every opportunity last week. If he rides with the same commitment this week Scunny have a chance. With Douglas back this will also bolster them and Auty can't ride as bad two weeks on the trot at home - can he?

Can just see a really close meeting if all the riders are up for it, would have liked to come across this afternoon, but unfortunately got 'family' commitments.

Prepare to be entertained if you can make it!

Wilkinson was scoring well early season because Ryan was still trying out the GTR. Kerr had a bit of a mare whereas Auty & Toft score over half of our points. Auty not doing well just lately but might have pinpointed the problem(s). So, I am not sure which Scorpion team will turn up but I will be there to support them through thick & thin.

Fair enough.. no reason on the other two though and add in Tungate, Hougaard?

tungate rides for lodz

hougaard rides for krakow

bellego rides for krosno

kurtz on his facebook page says he rides for plonia pila

kennett sounds a good shout but doubt we could afford him with our crowds, but if the team starts winning the crowd will return helping to pay,and depends what his average would be as hes done 7 matches

i suppose it depends on how often they ride in poland, kurtz is not in todays team so do they get told if not needed that week? Scott nicholls for rzesow but not in team team today

Yeah Newman and Sedgman in the middle order looks as good as any on paper but neither are firing on all cylinders. Newman had a late start to the season though so no doubt he'll get better as the weeks tick by. Confident that both will have a big part to play later in the season though when it really matters.
