DunRobin
If only Swindon could get their act together at home they would be a force, as it is Wolves and Belle Vue look a bit ahead of every other team and then you have Rye House, Kings Lynn , Swindon and maybe Poole challenging for the last 2 spots Shame what has happened with Ellis but obviously it isnt working out and perhaps a parting of the ways is the best way forward. A couple of changes and Swindon could guarantee a top 4 place. Wolves continue to march on and look good favourites for the league right now. The only thing is that other teams like Lynn and Swindon havent really strengthened up yet and we all know its what team goes into the play offs in form is the biggest threat Always get the feeling that when a Poole rider doesn't score points riding for another club at the start of the season, his average is lowered, he's released & hey ho, he's back at Poole & scoring points for fun. I've never been a fan of signing Poole assets, they seem to need the sea air to maintain their form! How do we start a campaign to get it back ? Never was a fan of the aggregate scores, it favours the tracks that are pure homers. Ride on a track like Belle Vue or Swindon where there is no home advantage & you are at a disadvantage.
Najjer
Never know why the aggregate bonus point was finished really. I've said that this season too - It'd add something extra to the end of the 2nd leg if the scores are close and add importance to nearly every race. SteveZodiac
Perhaps stunning was the wrong choice of words! It's unusual to see a rider so out of shape and adrift on the opening bends to pass with such ease. The reason he got out of shape was because he got a shove which forced him wide - happened right in front of where I was standing - if he had dropped it there is every chance the race would have been called back for all 4.

It is not to get the aggregate score back it was to revert to 2 points for the home winning team if the away team finishes within 6 points of them and gets 1 point. Exactly. That's why the fightback to come from nowhere was remarkable. The Robins pair did their job on the 1st bend. But I agree would have likely been a rerun if he went down. Wolfsbane
Never know why the aggregate bonus point was finished really. Wolves used to get hammered at Odsal, Saddlebow & Blunsdon but strangely, more often than not, managed to get the bonus point
New Science
Not sure how Swindon got a point last night, the team has more holes than a cullender . The racing was not up to much last night either, the only excitement we got when when a home rider made a total hash of the first corner or a home rider came off 15. Track was a bit grippy as well with a fair bit of wobbling including Riss. I think with Wolves virtually having the points in the bag with 3 races left helped Swindon get a point. Can't say I'm a fan of the 3 points for any kind of win, the old system gives a far clearer league table and maintains the intensity in a meeting, feel some teams switch off when the points are won. Didier Drogba of speedway....😛

Interesting point, which would have been even more pertinent had Lindgren appeared in the race under discussion... -) Edited May 23, 2017 by Fourentee

I remember Exeter pipping us to the title, purely by a huge home track advantage, under the current rules we would have won, due to a superb win record away. Gresham78
Given Wolves form at home this was a really good point for the Robins, largely due to the excellent showing from Jason and Nick. Heat 13 was really outstanding and a joy to watch as Nick took on Lindgren finally gaining 2nd place from him on the final bend. The Robins have now taken points from all the top teams whilst away from home which proves Rosco's not far away from delivering another team capable of a top 4 place.
g13webb
Any team with two big hitters will always be in with a chance of winning, and yes they will be in with a shout come the play-offs. Lots can happen in the coming weeks. Rosco can strengthen his squad once the new figures become available so to dismiss any team at this early stage would be silly. Two months into the season and only Wolves have shone brightly leaving the other teams to up their game . There have been many strange results, ones that few saw beforehand. No doubt there will be some more in the pipe line...... Cant remember the forum being so quite about Poole chances, but come the PO they could be there as so with the others... Wolves appear to have the upper hand at the moment, But a few years back we were sitting pretty some 30pts clear at the top when everything came apart... So nothing over till the Fat Lady sings
Sidney the robin
This is why i could not care less who wins or loses now teams now just looking to make changes from the off.Even my team Swindon have done it is there more skill in picking a 1/7 beforehand and sticking to it ? unless injuries occur.I go now to hopefully just see a few decent races the result is irrelevent to me now. Morra must be the most improved rider this year, how the hell Swindon got a point from this after being battered, superb scrapping from Doyley and Rosco's never say die motivational skills. Those fantastic Robins fans have a team they can be proud of. Just need to get some home wins under their belt.

He said Freddie would have been in heat 15 if he hadn't got injured in Heat 13 when he locked up.

Not many people pass and repass Fast Freddie at Monmore, fair play to Morra. If only the Flying Frog had been on his form of late.
