oldswindonsupporter
It rode ok and the times were fast but bar mistakes I think there was one pass ..it was a dire meeting . After the natural watering on Wednesday, I expected a far better track, the inside seemed to be the line around the 3rd / 4th bends, those who did try the wider / longer route didn't gain anything. Morra did well to hold the BuckerRoo off bend 4 when against Robert Lambert in heat 4 and if he had got it down earlier it may have seen him gain the lead. All in all, a very poor night's entertainment although the two 5-1's in heat 13 & 15 bought some respectability to the score and gave the home supports something to cheer along with the B&W in heat 10. Not sure that the new signing is the answer, we have gone from someone with some Premiership experience to someone without which seems strange when the requirement is to dominate heat 2. On that showing, I'd expect some changes and possibly Dany's stint in the Robin's colours may be short lived, that said, he impressed in heat 11 when claiming third from Lewis Rose, other than that he only beat Josh Bailey who was half a lap behind. foreverblue
Did the track get very dusty? Particularly bad on bends one and two I heard!!
Crazy robin
We stand on bend 3 & the dust started after 10 heats but wasn't as bad as it can be.

MattK
BWD is a Kiwi so Im not sure he should qualify. Isn't the rule having ridden in or eligible to ride in NL?
Grachan
Isn't the rule having ridden in or eligible to ride in NL? It's better than that! The rules could actually be interpreted to mean they must NOT include 2 riders who are eligible for the National League! But I think I know what you mean. It's true, though, that it does not say anything about being British, so BWD could be included. 18.7.1 A SGB Premiership Team’s initial Declaration must not exceed 50.00 and include at least 2 riders who have competed in or are eligible to enter the National Development League(Conference League)
stevebrum
Isn't the rule having ridden in or eligible to ride in NL? Looking at the rule you probably have a point. Tho as it's a BSPA rule it can be interpreted to mean anything! !
Steve0
The problem is who do we bring in? Adam would be a good first reserve when the averages change (replacing Dany) but who would you sign to replace him as our 3rd heat leader? I don't think Tungate is the answer though. Gresham78
Congratulations to Kings Lynn they rode to their potential last night especially Holder Batch & Lambert who are a genuine heat leader 1-3. Throw in an impressive performance at reserve from Huckenbeck meant they ran out worthy winners. For the Robins it was tough with BWD suffering the hand injury in Ht 1 but great credit to him he stuck at it. I feel it's unfair to judge Gapmiar after one meeting; how much practice had he round the Abbey? I agree with the cooment about retaining Adam Ellis - true he's struggling at the moment but this lad showed great promise last year and is worth persevering with, a spell at reserve could be just what he needs to gain confidence. Jason showed he's well on his way back to the fantastic level he achieved last season and regardless of his crazy average I'm really glad he's riding for us again this season. Good luck to the boys tonight at Belle Vue tonight...
Najjer
Looking at the rule you probably have a point. Tho as it's a BSPA rule it can be interpreted to mean anything! ! You'd assume it was meant to be British riders, but again it's worded very poorly that it's just anybody who has ridden in or could ride in the NL. Similar scenario for Cameron Heeps at Somerset, by the wording of the ruling he is now our 4th rider to qualify for that rule although he isn't British.
Star Fever
Great result once again for the 6-man Stars If we ever get round to replacing Bailey we might actually finish in the top four !!
g13webb
Great result once again for the 6-man Stars If we ever get round to replacing Bailey we might actually finish in the top four !! I think you're being a bit unfair on Bailey. Of cause he is out of his depth and is merely making the numbers up. That was always going to happen. But tell me another rider who would agree with having to wait 10 heats between his 2nd and 4th ride. The track would have changed considerable during that time... No other rider would do that... Looking at the list of reserve riders and their averages, it appears Lynn has the best in Huckenbeck and the worse in Bailey. Looking at that fact, probably its better to be that way, knowing Huckenbeck can usually win races and able to take extra rides when the need be. Something 2 mediocre riders wouldn't achieve..... So going back to sarcasm about a 6man team, sometimes the make-up of a 6man team can be more beneficial than a 7man one....
Sidney the robin
Doyle really looked quick last night and in one race he even looked to take it easy and young Lambert made in roads on him.For Doyle he looks like he has a real crack at being WC this year i really hope so great to see him ride most weeks. For Lynn Rose has really kicked on come on alot looks comfortable in the top 5 i really hope he enjoys his British Final debut and gets in the mix young Bailey who have time for you had to feel for him.

There must be smeone out ther who could occasionally beat an oposition reserve??
semion
Read Dale Allits comments in today's EDP and he says they are looking to bring in a number 7 to share the work load. Wasn't that the plan back in March. Also he states that Holder had damaged his hand in heat one but carried in, this however was the reason he wasn't selected for heat
