Ipswich V Sheffield Ch2 Wed 17-5-17@7-30pm

Recommended Posts

On Wednesday we welcome again the Sheffield Tiggers for the 2nd Championship fixture long before we've even ridden half of the other teams once!

It's weird having a home meeting on a Wednesday if it happens as so far the weather forecast is not looking good.

Anyway, onto the meeting, I personally see no reason why the outcome of this one will be any different to their last visit but I'm always open to reasoned discussion.

Both sides have differences this time around, who will be more effected I've no idea.

For me The Witches look just as strong but for Sheffield RR for Lasse could work for or against them.

Reserves wise Nathan seemed to settle in well last week so hopefully we'll at least be on par with the Tigers pair although they are forced into an injury replacement themselves at no7.

So if it goes ahead, opinions?

sedge 10

kyle 6

rory 11

connor 2

nathan 5

josh g 10

kurtz 3

r/r

bates 7

howarth 12

branford 6

shuttle worth 1

53-39

i personally think r/r for lasse will weaken the tigers as he's very good at foxhall and kurtz, bates and branford taking his rides at 3 will leave them a bit more vulnerable as would putting r/r to 2 and having kurtz at 3 who has never seemed to like foxhall a great deal as a visiting rider, on current form think we could see howarth beat our big guns a couple of times! a rider I've always liked so glad to see him kicking on this year!

I think we will do well to stop Sheffield taking a point.

Hope for 50-40 but settle for 46-44 😊

Of course currently the weather looks the most likely winner with rain forecast to start Tuesday night and stop Thursday morning!!

Think we will edge this one but Howarth will be a thorn in our side and it is good to see him kick on this year. Branford at reserve will prove a handful but Bjerre is a big loss, cant see Josh going as poor as he did last time. Could be very close

Personally I don't think bjerre is all that at foxhall, just my opinion. Howarth is bang on form and so is bates, so should be very close. The partnership of Justin and kyle is very important this week. Personally I would counter act it and stick Rory at 3 for this meeting.

You have to think Josh Grajczonek will score more than 6 this time around but will rr score the 8 Lasse got last time?

Will Mountain score more than Shuttleworth?

Will Sedgy score more than the 7 Nico got?

Mind you, we used rr for Kyle and he could well get more than 5, so plenty of ifs and buts for Wednesday.

1) JG = more // RR = less

2) Mountain Higher = No

3) Unless Nico got a max then Sedgy will score more

4) KN = more than 5 (i.e 6!!)

But still a win for Sheffo. - hell they nearly beat us at Armadiddle!!
