Who Is Riding The Gtr Engine ?

Recommended Posts

Adam Ellis looked to be back on a GM tonight at Wolves based on a photo on Speedway GB site.

Temporary or has he ditched the GTR?

Some of the top boys must be a bit concerned as they can see how Freddie has helped with the development and looking so fast and balanced on the bike but are rather tied in with GM and respective tuners? If you have a sponsorship with GM would that equate to being more financially viable despite the tuning and maintenence costs as opposed to the cheaper to run GTR? Or would they be able to gain a GTR sponsorship? Just wonder how the deal Lindgren has works with Marcel??

PJR riders in the GP are sponsored ,in the early days of supermarkets it was called a loss leader , you give stuff away to a few high profile people and rob all the lower profile people to pay for it and then some .

Interesting If Pedersen starts getting them to work along side Freddie I think their will be a few more top riders jump in the GTR wagon

Unfortunately ,Pedersen is likely to do more harm than good for the GTR cause , he's had his day but still got quite a high profile , so Nicki's lack of performance will get blamed on the GTR

Nicki has had issues with his engines for about the last 3 years now.

has never really looked quick during that time.

I think that this will be his final year in the GP's he has had a very serious injury just isn't looking like the rider he was and Hancock just looks like things are starting to get away from him I think that evolution is taking it's course no one can go on for ever sadly.

I was starting to think that after the last GP.

Knowing Hancock though - he will probably come good again.

Not good adverts for the engine though

Agree.Clearly the standard unit ,which is deffo not what Freddie is riding.

I know it will take time for set ups etc but I bet Freddies ain't got the same service interval as the sealed unit.

I'm not sure they're sealed units yet are they?

They will be sealed straight from the factory. Otherwise, how do the machine examiners know if they have been tampered with for British Racing. NO TAG, NO RACING.

I thought it was just going to be sealed units if they rolled it out across the league, not the odd rider here and there
