Dandelion
Don't think the ENTIRE rest of the team is the problem..... Ludvig and Rose are doing great in the main body and Robert and Steve are doing even better, not to mention how good Ashley has started the season... It's just the reserves are out of their depth and something has to give elsewhere in the team or else we'll just be struggling with 2.00 reserves for the rest of the season... I don't think anyone here hates Robert... He's British?! Riding in Britain is top of the list, same as Danes in Denmark, Swedes in Sweden and Poles in Poland, someone correct me if I'm wrong, he might be saying that Germany is his number 1 priority in his head but when it comes to fixture clashes only Kings Lynn and FIM type meetings will effect his Newcastle fixtures ok ok, I didn't know that nationality dictates the priority of a rider, I was just asking for confirmation of that, is that a new rule or has it always been in place? Does Robert still race under a German license? Also, if Newcastle isn't a priority in his head... Will he give 110% every week? I dunno, I'm a big fan of the guy, but I fear for my team this year... And it's not even Robert's fault As to a link of Robert saying Germany was a priority, it was in a Speedway Star one week
toontrader
obviously not a Lambert fan lol We are early doors an you wanting rid of Lambert already, just because he has had a bad meeting. last night he got 9+1 call that bad spose your an idiot thinking he should be banging in 15s week in week out, I bet if you look through all meetings so far he has had double figures with bonus points apart from a cr*p meeting at Redcar. As I have been informed by a team manager if there are any SCB investigations the rider is put on an instant ban straight away be it 7-28 days if that was the case with Lambert he wouldn't still be riding How do you think Lambert feels with what happened about the British Semi........an if you think you could of done better getting there best you get in contact with him an he might hire you to do all of his transport arrangements I feel really sorry for Worrell an Lambert having to carry the rest of the team week in week out, an if either of them have a bad night they are the ones letting the team down.......Lets put Luddie at 1 an Rose at 5 an see what they can do Sorry but rest of the team need a right kicking to up there game I never said that I wasn't a fan of Lambert. He is a great rider and will reach the SGP one day. But Newcastle need to strengthen at reserve so one of the top five would have to go. Prior to the Edinburgh match, Lambert was 4th in Newcastle's averages and has the biggest drop in average of anyone on the Newcastle team. I think he will be the next British rider to be able to challenge for the SGP title. It was great to see him last season at Newcastle but he has so many commitments now that his performances lack the consistency at Newcastle and if we are to be involved in the end of season playoffs then something has to happen. We have to choose watch a n exciting rider and win nothing or make changes to challenge for trophies As for his transport a quick look on trainline gave me those times. Speedway Star said he tried to book a flight to Glasgow! Surely if he had asked the Newcastle promotion for advice how to get there they would have told him to try the train

As far as the train is concerned, apparently he would have had to change more than once, c*cking the times up completely.

Gazc
Nah Stevie couldn't possibly have contemplated that, it's only monarchs that pull that one! Apparently!! Good to see you have finally accepted it.

Dandelion
How would his bikes get there if he got the train? Would he just roll them on with him? xD Shame to see Ayres sign for Redcar, good for them, and him, but a shame that it has to be Redcar

Especially since its our rivals. Phillips could possibly beat him if and when he returns, certainly seems he's made an improvement since last season. If Connor gets a good start and stops looking back all the time, he could do well. He did get a second place at the Media Prima Arena after all. Of course, theres still Hopwood. Was quite happy with his debut. Rode well. Hit his average, albeit a 2.00, but once he gets to grips with brough i reckon he'll bring up his average a bit. Dandelion
I think it wouldn't be clear cut that Ayres would beat Hopwood every time Also, I don't think we'll see Danny for the rest of 2017, and if we do, he won't be 100% I think Connor is a great prospect, but it's too soon for him, as soon as he's put under any pressure he falls, something that can't be said for Hopwood (Just based on heat 14 on Sunday lol) I think Connor tries TOO hard on a track he struggles on and then just has to lay the bike down
DiamondGlory
Well said. Danny last season was abysmal at times, this season he did well. Maybe the same will happen to Connor if he stays on next year?

Sorry, but bemused why you think a rival team replacing their no 6 are not going to have someone who will beat our 6 & 7? As I have constantly said our management have gone for a team make up which leaves us potentially woeful at reserve on occasions and we have to hope the top 5 score big enough to get the win. Don't get stressed about Redcar, they have made an excellent choice at 7 (when fit again) and now have a potential good scorer at 6, that is how they chose to build the team - when we race at home I would expect us to beat them (as long as track isn't too wet or dry!!), away I expect to be beaten but with a bit of luck can get close. ruffdiamond
Newcastle probably acted hastily to sign Embleton after Glasgow used him at number 8, scared an other would snap him up lol... still he is light years away from a championship reserve at the moment, but def one for the future imo just seen it on the Newcastle site, Josh looks happy to sign, but am not so sure about George

It was mainly because I was hoping they'd sign someone who our lads could actually beat more than anything. Just a pain to watch our reserves at the backin nearly every race.
