greyhoundp
A very interesting meeting this, if the Warriors reserves can pick up a few points, that could be the difference in deciding the meeting.
liam
Looks like it was a better showing than yesterday, another poor night from Morley though and it has cost us.

East End Fan
Was not at the Island last night...Can someone tell me...The innuendo seems to be that the track was difficult...is that true? I have heard that Smallbrook has not been in good racing condition this year, but it's just hearsay and may not be correct. On a track of that size, round a Rugby pitch, rough conditions would make it hard for visitors who are used to smooth tracks like Arena. cityrebel
It was the heavy rain right on start time that made the track difficult last night. This continued on and off throughout the meeting. The riders coped admirably.

There is a video on here Hottest Hear https://www.speedwayportal.com/wight-warriors-home You can see for yourself. Although it had been a scorching hot day with a drying wind so the track was dusty

HagueyUK
Hi guys, we do the filming for the Warriors however due to illness I was not able to attend the meeting, although an Islander Bruce Buckland filmed the meeting for us. It is currently being worked on, by tomorrow some behind the scenes and track video's along with interviews will be live on the Media Channel, the Hottest Heat will follow shortly. Many thanks, Andy
TMW
The featured video relates to the meeting v Swindon on 4 May. Not Lakeside last night. EEF was alluding to the track all season. I was just showing the although conditions were 'tricky' on Thursday the racing thus far has been fine
teaboy279
Since I ve been going down there, I ve always considered the straights to be hard n bumpy. But it always produces good racing because the banking on bends 3 and 4 mean riders willing to attack the track can make big swoop around riders. I don't recall riders often rearing up in the bends either. So it's a track the riders can trust.
