Sheffield V Redcar 11.05.17

I don't think Barker touched Kurtz either. I am suprised nobody has mentioned the last race when Barker apparently deliberately kept straight on to block Bjerre from the gate (I didn't see that bit was told) Bjerre somehow managed to switch quickly and was inside Barker before bend 2. At the end of the race Howarth and Bjerre rode either side of Barker and clearly let him know what they thought of him which spilled over into the pits.

Can't beat a good bit of gossip so a mate of my uncles brother told me.

Another win notch up for the Tigers, just need to start getting some points on the board on our travels.

Both teams suffered some misfortune, and a shame that both Bears failed to finish heat 13 with machine problems as that race was shaping up to be a great race.

The incidents with Barker, would love to say that he was at fault as I don't care much for him but I don't think he did anything wrong.

Long time since I have sen the Sheffield track produce dust, and the track did look very slick on the inside why can't spread the dirt line more evenly, instead of high and wide near the fence.

Is there a more exciting rider than Jason Garrity out there very entertaining rider, the big problem with Jason is keeping him fit, which is I think one of the reasons why Sheffield did not ask him back.

For the Tigers Kyle Howarth continues to impress me especially since he took over captaincy where he leads by example, and Rob Branford is another who seems to ride with his brain.

Finally the delayed start of 15 minutes due to fans having problems accessing the car park, don't have a problem with that , but why then have an interval.

As I say i just missed the start so didn't see that bit. Have seen the vid myself now and agree Barker does nothing wrong.

Wonder what Howarth and Bjerres problem was then after the race? Words definitely were had both on the track and going back into the pits. Mind you so did Kurtz earlier on.

Don't think many do like him to be honest. Him and Garrity in Heat 13 and potentially 15's. Think what you want about them; they are entertainers. Great if they are your teams rider, but hated if not.

Are you sure words were had or was is your friends girlfriend told you this?

Barker is Barker does not take any prisoners. He is not my cup of tea, but we need rider's who make it interesting. Instead of gate and go and thats the end of it. utt.

Oh and by the way the Sheffield track is a disgrace. If the riders want it like that they will get speedway done away with. I am getting a bit fed up with the quality of racing at Owlerton. You are luck if you get a couple of races that are worth watching each meeting. We keep getting Damian Bates saying what good racing we get at Sheffield, he needs to come and listen to the comments from the terraces every Thursday.

Did you think Rob looked quicker, he was on a borrowed engine I believe, certainly his winning race time was equal to most race wins.

Thought Branford looked ok the other night. He seemed to be riding within himself in heat 2 as if he was holding Hall off JPB, very sensible riding looking for a max result.

Believe it was one of Steadys' engines he was using, don't think he had it at Scunny today though, he looked a different rider to the one I saw on Thursday!

No I just imagined it. What's up can't think for yourself?

Yes thanks - in fact I actually thought you might have a sense of humour and get the intention of the post, but obviously it flew so far over your head you missed it by a mile. Never mind, better luck next time! :t:

I agree about the heat 2 did a great job nursing JPB around, I had no idea that he was a borrowed engine.

I like the fact that Rob looks out for his inexperienced partner and is prepared to be good team player.

Correct Steve he didn't have it today it was one of Steadys he felt Robs engines were slow and he proved that to be correct, but the search is on for a better engine , you can't polish a terd as they say , I know one of his engines his dad bought second hand in 2011.Regardless he will try his best with what he has available.
