Gavan
Is this the year, the first ever year when Tai was in it and was rubbish and didn't qualify and then he got another Wild Card a year or so later? Okay, calm down! It's my opinion and I'm sticking with it. I think Tai sees himself as being more Aussie than British, nothing wrong with that with the amount of time he has spent there. Ummm, i put a question mark cos i wasn't sure. Don't ever become an English teacher will you!!! Lol The first year Tai was in it was 2010 and yes he wasnt very good. But 3 years later he got a deserved wild card and was World Champion. Thats what happens with hard work and dedication. Lisa Collette is like the female version of Starman. No she isnt, nobody is as stupid as Starman. Lisa will post without thinking sometimes and we disagree an awful lot but she is ok. Starman and Shovlar are the issues with most people and i would never tar Lisa with that brush

Thats what happens with hard work and dedication.Think back to the odds offered on Tai to be World Champion at the start of that season. He was ranked a complete outsider and I think it's fairly unlikely he would have got the wild card if he wasn't put in as the "token Brit"...He proved he was more than worth the place but that wasn't the general consensus before the season started.
Hodgy
Oh FGS, Tai chose GB cos it was the quickest way to get in GPs. If he chose Aussie he would have had to wait a few years cos Crump and Holder were already in it (?) Please enlighten me as to how many GP'S Jason Crump rode in 2013??? Think you will find that Chris Holder was the only Aussie in the 2013 series. Darcy Ward went through the qualifiers and didnt make the challenge, yet got a wild card. If Tai Woffinden had ridden for Australia he would more than likely have still got the place ahead of Ward. Next time get your facts straight bless you The award for the most non factual post goes to????? Exactly but come on Lisa is a Poole fan and you know what some of them are like.............. 3 years later he got a deserved wild card and was World Champion. Don't recall Lisa stating 2013 in her post. Apologies if I missed something. TW's GP debut was 2010, inc Crump & Holder - finishing a credible 14th at such a young age. 3 yeas later he was very fortunate to gain a GP wild card (def not deserved, hence the 500/1). The series needed a British representative - he was the choice of an average bunch, an inclusion that surprised most. Fair play to him, a combination of fitness, focus and a PJ rocket gave GB someone to cheer and support. Thereafter I can understand not wanting to commit to British League Speedway - but I would expect a desire to be the British Champ year on year and represent GB in the WTC. For his country and supporters, not the BSPA.
Gavan
Now finish that bottom sentance.. I wonder why she's ok. what are you wittering on about. I dont have a grudge against Lisa..........yes a bit daft at times but not lacking intelligence like yourself and certainly not as blinkered as either you or Shovlar. Hope that answers your very strange question

waiheke1
I would venture to suggest that Nicholls, Richardson, Wigg and Loram didn't try to get selected for GB when a lucrative "individual" meeting was being staged on their home track in Poland (or any other country). Spot the difference. No. Wigg refused to ride for England when it clashed with lucrative bookings in Europe. Please enlighten me as to how many GP'S Jason Crump rode in 2013??? Next time get your facts straight bless you Tbf, I font think there is anyway taI would have got a wildcard in 13 ahead of D'Arcy. Most on here had him as finishing 15th and consensus was that he only got the we because he was British. Now finish that bottom sentance.. I wonder why she's ok.Because she's neither a troll nor a moron?
