I'm not making any point ,there is no point , since you don't seem able to simply answer a question , without trying to read other intent into it , I'll ask someone else , by the way what was gavans point you were seconding , I have him blocked so i haven't seen it

You make me feel like I'm on trial ??? :D

Gavan's point was made in reference to your suggestion that Tai only took British representation in order for an easier passage in to the Gp's ?

Are we right in thinking that this is/was your point?

You'll have to unblock him to read his view as I don't want to get caught in any crossfire......

Having said that....Tai would still be a successful GP rider and 2 time world champion even if he'd of taken the Aussie route....which is fact!!!

I think I'm out of this one now, as I'm bored ! :D

Roll on Cardiff.... Woffy Woffy Woffy !!!

I don't agree with any of that. How can Britain improve if our best rider refuses to ride for us, and bring along his experience? He would rather go galavanting off for a weeks holiday than do the right and honorable thing of representing his nation! God forbid he has most of October, November, December, January, February and March for holidays!

How the hell can the bspa be blamed for Woffinden being tired mid season?

Yep. Get behind Woffinden and give his backside a shove with a boot straight out of the exit door.

I take it you have the same opinion of Scott Nicholls, Lee Richardson and Simon Wigg who all turned their back on British speedway at one time or another?

Just what has our last British world champion Mark Loram done to help British Speedway? ??

Not one of those or Tai need to give anything back to British speedway when it's governing body gave/gives them naff all in support.

Tai is British, born and bred. I don't blame him for choosing to stick two fingers up the it's governing body. They have been doing the same to our leagues and riders for decades.

Fool?

Is that what it comes to then when you disagree with someone else's point of view?

You go down the route of slander?

Ouch...I've been stung ! :t:

I would venture to suggest that Nicholls, Richardson, Wigg and Loram didn't try to get selected for GB when a lucrative "individual" meeting was being staged on their home track in Poland (or any other country).

Spot the difference.

Oh FGS, Tai chose GB cos it was the quickest way to get in GPs. If he chose Aussie he would have had to wait a few years cos Crump and Holder were already in it (?)

Please enlighten me as to how many GP'S Jason Crump rode in 2013???

Think you will find that Chris Holder was the only Aussie in the 2013 series. Darcy Ward went through the qualifiers and didnt make the challenge, yet got a wild card. If Tai Woffinden had ridden for Australia he would more than likely have still got the place ahead of Ward.

Next time get your facts straight bless you

There is no difference. All of them have been scathing of their governing body.

And you know that for a fact do you, no thought not!!

You do realise that he rode for GB in the world cup in 2008, only his second season in British speedway and when he was still only 17, and 2 years before his first GP season so your comments just don't make any sense to be honest. You're just assuming that those were his motives and he couldn't have wanted to ride for GB because he was born in Britain to British parents. He's British, end of, get over it!!!

The difference is quite clear. Nicholls, Richardson, Wigg and Loram never had a lucrative 'individual' meeting being staged on their home track in Poland (or any other country). So your point is completely moot.

As for 'trying to get selected'. The BSPA approached Tai, not the other way round.

Yep fair play to him. But does sod all for british speedway when he claims to be british..

I'm far from being Tai's biggest fan, a million miles away in fact - However, how many riders actually do anything that benefits British Speedway? Other than representing us at the World Cup, I can't think of many others that do an awful lot if at all. Maybe the Worrall brothers I've seen that have been mentioned that go to the odd training day but it just seems an easy excuse to bash Woffinden for no reason.

Very good point.

Something else that most seem to be missing. Tai has never asked to be 'handed the reins'. He offered to BUY the rights. That's not talk, that's having the belief and confidence to put your money where your mouth is.

Finally, unlike Messrs Richardson, Nicholls and Wigg, Tai hasn't said he won't ride for GB again as some seem to believe. All he ever stated was he was not doing the World Cup this year. At least he gave ample notice to both the BSPA and fans.. unlike a certain American who didn't bother to show up last year.

Is this the year, the first ever year when Tai was in it and was rubbish and didn't qualify and then he got another Wild Card a year or so later?

Okay, calm down! It's my opinion and I'm sticking with it. I think Tai sees himself as being more Aussie than British, nothing wrong with that with the amount of time he has spent there.

Ummm, i put a question mark cos i wasn't sure. Don't ever become an English teacher will you!!! Lol :D
