Lakeside will find it hard with R/R for David Mason ( injured) Will be interesting to see if they can cope with the wide open spaces of the track..Expect a bit of a tonking to be honest.....

Should be another comfortable home win. Looking forward to Morley and Zak tho. Don't think Zak has seen the track before and Morley did well last time scoring paid 10 i think

R/R for Mason at 2 big away tracks is probably a beneficial coincidence, isnt it? Though admittedly the riders that can take R/R aren't great, but you could get 5pts from Bowtell & Zach.

Mason was OK riding at home on Friday and Lakeside haven't had a fixture since, so can only assume this is a tactical change, R/R rides for Wajtknecht and Bowtell should bring in more than Mason would have.

Not that I know anything, but could this be another case of a rider opting out from racing at a track which doesn't suit him? Another rule introduced with the best of intentions, but so wide open to being abused.

It must be remembered that there are many youngsters in the National League who are taken about by a parent who sometimes may not be able to miss work. Also riders themselves are only semi-professional so sometimes may not be able to get time off work. It's a thing we must accept at this level.

Thanks for the first hand observation, so my scepticism might be right.

That may be true but not in this Mason case.

David Mason had an extremely nasty pile-up in the home match against Belle Vue Colts. Why start the usual beloved BSF assumption that there may be another reason for his absence from this return away fixture.

He did indeed. Three riders involved in first bend bunching and Mason came off worst, head first into the air fence. Did well to walk away from it. Concussion cane be a funny thing as has been seen many times. A rider can complete his rides but the effects follow the next day or days later.

Mason might not like the big tracks, Hunter is out of form at the moment and the reserves are not setting the track alight so the Hammers will be weakened slightly without him.

Well let's be honest, you can't exactly say he hasn't got any 'previous for similar' can ya!

Diffferent league but same old same old away on big tracks. Whipping boys. Poor night from our number 1 aswell.

Yes it was a poor night from our number one but i bet you you don't feel as bad as him.

Was really impressed with the performance of Zach Wajtknecht tonight. Looked quick, rode good lines, passed Dan Bewley clean as a whistle in one race & was involved in a couple of other very decent races too. First time I've seen him race live, shall follow his progress with interest from now on.

I was impressed with Kyle Bickley fantastic display from a 15 year old rider.

I saw a lot about him on social media so was interested to see how he rode at Lakeside and I was very impressed. No doubting he is a going to be a real star of the future.
