Peterborough Panthers Vs Newcastle Diamonds 13/05/2017 - League

Recommended Posts

he beat me to saying it,,, its obviously a touchy subject.

if your buying the drinks tho, thats fine, but there's no place for yobbery and violence at speedway, (unless its on track);)

There should be no place in speedway for yobbery and violence full stop, but stupid childish inciting posts with remarks about anyone been sacked yet etc you can see where it comes from people only take so much you know.

grow a pair and suck it up!

If you are wound up or offended by anything that has been posted on this thread you really need to seek professional help.

I wont bother with any smillies on this one but please dont take that as it being any more sinister than the rest.

Some people will see things very differently to you afterall your one of the biggest wind up merchants on here and updates anyway sorry its banter to you .

So Robert Lambert should of just took the abuse he got from a fan at end of ht15 yesterday or did he react to something someone said therefore he to needs to grow some balls and suck It up as well then.

The difference is he's putting his neck on the line for everyone s entertainment . I'm just putting silly posts to get a bite. I never offended or show violence to anyone. It's just a tonge in cheek remark after you sacked 2 riders in the interval when we kicked ya butts last season, Some people take this forum far too serious . The way speedway is going this forum will be over soon. Have a nice day

Of course he should sick it up, he's supposed to he a professional sportsman. If he wants to succeed in speedway he'll have to perform in far more hostile atmosphere's than the EOES.

He's riding to earn himself money and points for Newcastle nothing to do with entertaining Peterborough fans.

I was hoping for a win in this match, but as I posted earlier, it really depends on panthers, they could easily have one of their good nights and all scored well.

As it turns out they did have the usual inconsistency, and we took advantage.

However you have to be fair and say that it was danny's injury, and astute management that actually got the victory, with Danny or Hopwood at reserve Panthers win - no question!

So with that fact in mind I'm not following George's view that this results shows us as one of the best teams in the league, quite simply we aren't , not with the weakness at reserve we will continue to carry!

So you'd suggest putting you on ignore.

Christ Peterborough have some monumental cockwombles following them on here!!

Are the cock wombles any relation to the wimbledon wombles

It depends what was said, of course every sportsman should be able to rise above it and I'm sure he will learn to in years to come but everyone has their breaking point as Zidane showed in the 2006 world cup final.

Personally though I think you are a poor excuse for a human being if you pay to get into a sporting event in order to abuse one of the competitors.

Agree with the first bit but I'm afraid there are times when competitors deserve criticism but it's how it'd delivered that's the issue.

Yes I do wind up you pussycats a bit and yes it is banter. It does comes from a base of the factual events but perhaps just like a caricature certain elements are enhanced for effect to emphasise a point.

Worth noting also that I do give credit where its due even to Peterborough.

Re Lambert -Very much depends on what is said and how it is delivered. No rider deserves abuse but should expect some critisism.

I remember shouting at David Norris on parade at Eastbourne. He had fallen 3 times on his own in the previous meeting a Foxhall and I enquired as to whether he had remembered his stabilisers.

A quick hand gesture suggesting I enjoyed pleasuring myself was delivered back and cheered by many including me. Top man Floppy 👍

Had he jumped the fence and tried to strangle me that wouldve been out of order

Nothing wrong with criticism, we are entitled to dish that out as paying customers, but abuse is another matter entirely.

Which is why I avoided the word. Still trying to find out what this so called abuse was though.

Some panthers fans need to remember that speedway is a mickey mouse tin pot entertainment run by employees of Billy smarts. Don't take what some of say so seriously. And to think you have the biggest wind up knob jockey of all, it's meant to be fun.

Those Panthers folk don't know what fun and banter is.

They always get upset about nothing, it's that Gypo instinct

A disappointing result however, a great crowd who got value for money.

They will be back next time.

I spoke to a Newcastle fan on the way out and he said that he may start supporting the Panthers.
