Crump99
Lambert's a yo-yo rider. He'll do ok at reserve and struggle in the main body of the team. That's his level. I'd stick with him, he'll score when he drops. Bacon is the concern. Low on confidence and going backwards despite leading the field in the PB Today picture! DMEvans
I used to be an avid poster on here, but stopped due to having no time, bringing up a young family etc... Â I literally havent posted for years, so much so, i forgot my log in details (so signed back up) Â But i have been popping in reading everyones posts in the mean time to keep me entertained! Â My 2 pence worth on last night, and the team in general: Â What has happened this season is exactly what i thought would happen. And really what the management should of expected. Â 1. Holder - Brillaint, after a slow start 2.Lambert - ALWAYS struggles in the main body and was always going to this season. 3.Starke - Has been good, and will average his 'average' hes a 6-7 point rider 4.Ostergaard - Is no longer a 9+ guy, and will settle for 7-8 avaerage, decent on all tracks really. 5.Hansen - With the illness early doors its hard to judge him, but will always be better at EOES 6.BWD - Brilliant, was always going to be one of the stronger reserves and was always going to move into the main body of the team to replace Simon. 7.Bacon - Im sure the management probably expected more as i did. but very poor, if he was going to score ANY points it should of been last night, against the likes of Davey, Morley,Ayres. Â Although last season proved we shouldnt just start replacing riders straight away, i think with Bacon we may aswell... at worst we replace 0,0,0 with 0,0,0. If Liam Carr is eligible maybe he could come in, as we are visiting Berwick soon. Â Let Simon have a go at reserve(No6) im sure with a couple of heat wins under his belt he'll be fine. Â Holder BWD Hansen Starke Ostergaard Lambert ??
Flappy
Keeping Lambert when he drops to 3 wour be season defining. Will he score paid double figures each week like BWD has on my opinion notes chance. The team can't carry anyone with the way it's been built

The team can't carry anyone with the way it's been built  Looking at most of the reserves at this level, and with improved confidence of winning races I don't think that he'd be far off.  That's the trouble with strength in depth. You need everyone to perform but they rarely do. If you build the team with a few race winners then the lesser lights often get dragged along with the momentum. It's a bit late to be questioning that now anyway. It's actually BWD in the picture.   I'm not a great fan of Whoosh posts but will make a rare exception here! TheScotsman
Congrats to Peterborough for providing a good race track yesterday. Â Nice and smooth and so much overtaking inside and outside. Â Certainly young Pickering seemed to enjoy it even with his hand injuries. Â Shame it took so long to replace the air bags but at least they did their job and allowed BWD and the Showman to get up and walk away.
Flappy
It's actually BWD in the picture. He did last season and the season before that...at home. He's showing no signs of being able to win any races at the moment, I may be mistaken, but he hasn't won a heat at all so far this season. Â Home and away at reserve he'd need to bang in big scores consistently. Huge ask. Â We can't carry 2 reserves though no matter how it's dressed up. Lambert currently averages 2.24 and Bacon 1.64. Â Hansen doesn't look as quick last year either so far tbh Edited May 8, 2017 by Flappy
New era Panthers
Carr rode at No.4 for Berwick. Get him at reserve then it will be a different story. Â Lambert cannot stay surely? Â He's got no confidence and no self belief he is even struggling to beat the 2 pointers away from home. Â Liam Carr or Joe Jacobs is a must. Â What are Panthers going to do at reserve put a struggling lambert in for a struggling bacon? Â Need to get rid ASAP IMO Â Any other club would've sacked him by now. And if you were a promoter nobody would want to ride for you as they would be in fear of getting the bullet even before a wheel was turned. Paulco
Well, that was a nice surprise, well done the Monarchs makeshift 7. IMO with Erik & Mark in place it was ours for the taking. Danny was an inspired choice of guest and I hope he and BWD are none-the-worse for that crash. Josh riding with broken fingers and tendon damage..... what a guy!!! Aye credit where credit's due . When I saw the Monarchs' line up I thought a pumping was on the cards , but to come away with a point was a remarkable achievement .
proud panther
Hansen was poor when you look at who he beat, & needs to do better at home, because he is pants away.

That's a surprise , cause Peterborough was the only away track he wasn't pants at when he was a Workington rider . Everyone assumed he would end up a Panther at some point , so surprising he's not doing it at home at least . Noodles
I've really enjoyed the first matches of the season & the presentation has been pretty good - until last night. I know you can't help crashes but it simply takes far too long to replace fence panels & the long delay kills the meeting & any enthusiasm left. No amount of YMCA, grease lightning (the irony) & the conga are going to relieve my boredom.  The tapes had a mind of their own & went up anytime anyone went near them, there was no floodlight over the start finish line which was dangerous (is that why Starke lost it in heat 15?)  The ref asked Wells to return to the pits and then excluded him.  The start marshall had no way of communicating with the referee leading to confusion in more than one race. In the end stewards had to relay messages.  We even had a 5 lap race.  All in all it seemed a very amateur show last night. Ged needs to get on top of it before the potential new fans at the MCN festival Saturday. Hansen was poor when you look at who he beat, & needs to do better at home, because he is pants away.Surprised to see him give up easily in his third ride, and he clearly couldn't be bothered in heat 13.

I think he had mechanical issues in heat 3 judging by the body language towards his mechanic.

Ged needs to get on top of it before the potential new fans at the MCN festival Saturday. Â Thought it was all going fine until the air fence got wrecked. It was a much slicker operation until then, all the more surprising considering Horley was in charge but fair play to her for keeping things moving. Â Much like a 1/2 hour delay isn't really acceptable when someone falls off not too heavily and sustains a minor injury, waiting that length of time for an air bag also isn't acceptable. It may have not been a straightforward fix but that's why there's a bloke standing there with a roving mic, to communicate outside of thanking us for (and testing) our patience. stevehone
Hansen looks like he's still struggling with his illness, definitely not 100%, and his body language showed that.
