waco
Could be the toughest home meeting of the season depending how Belle Vue riders take to the tracK...Dan Bewley if not riding in a higher league anywhere could be a real test of our top end ..Looking forward to a good safe meeting for all the riders........ liam
I have seen a lot of things on social media about Kyle Bickley so I will be interested to see how he goes tonight.
Cliv Clav
Honestly, I think most Hammers fans expect a loss tonight. A change at reserve and more home track knowledge and who knows, but it is too early in the season. Still, it will be nice to see more of the next crop of British prospects that the Colts will be fielding. Interesting meeting.
TonyE
Fairly comfortable win and could have been bigger but for David Mason's EF when leading (easily) his fourth outing in Heat 12. Â For the Colts, Bickley did well and they were well served by Ben Hopwood guesting. Â Meagre attendance on a cold evening.
cityrebel
It was an awful crowd tonight, but West ham v spurs couldn't have helped.
Cliv Clav
Unexpected win tonight, but very pleasing to see. Â Some battling performances and good racing too. Zach came from behind in most of his heats, his round the boards sweep past the Colts in the last race was terrific! Ben was outstanding and never looked like he would be beaten, even when he missed the gate. Alfie & David were lucky to escape injury after Payne took both into the fence in the evening's only race stoppage. George stole a couple of points of Nick, but looked smoother. He just needs to make some starts. Nick had his best meeting, but Jamie was sluggish away from the tapes. Â Nice to see some of the Colts youngsters, over the next few years some could turn into big name riders. Expected more from Payne, but former Hackney rider Hopwood served as a good guest on a track he has ridden at a fair bit. Bickley got stuck in, as did Bewley who was the only rider to take a point off Zach in heat 13. Â Good meeting! Shame it was a chilly evening though. Looking forward to Mildenhall's visit, as that should be a close meeting.

liam
Couple hundred I would guess it looked like a ghost town. One of the coldest nights over there.
Bryce
I actually counted the crowd about 15 mins before the start and came up with around 250. It was of course bloody freezing and up against West Ham v Spurs. Good meeting on the track though.

Islander15
The crowd figures seem worrying then. How many approx were going in the EL days?
cityrebel
It varied depending on the opposition. About 750 on a bad day up to 1500 for the likes of poole. It's early days for the hammers regarding crowd levels. Two challenge matches and a league match going up against the football will not give a true reflection. The mildenhall meeting in a couple of weeks time should be a better guide.

waco
Excellent meeting ,plenty of passes on a well prepared track,,,It showed tonight that even the top teams,, if they have not experienced the track before will not be at their best,,Do not agree with the crowd figures it was considerable more than stated here ,,,it was freezing cold however ,that and the fact it was not a local derby as the first two matches plus the football, probably accounted for the crowd being down by about a third to a half,,,Ben and Zack were outstanding and the whole team fought hard for their points,,Young Bickley for Belle Vue looks an outstanding prospect,,Bewley however seemed to struggle with the track and i would expect a lot better on his next visit here,,
Loyal hammer
A good meeting. I was anticipating a probable Belle Vue win beforehand. Very impressed by Bickley, and although Bewley scored 6 (score didn't do him justice really), I was surprised he wasn't named in heat 15. E I Addio
Credit to the referee Chris Gay for keeping the meeting moving on a freezing cold night. As soon as the riders were off the track for one race he was putting two minutes on for the next. Credit to the new trackman Ken Driscoll for a superb track that had only one fall all night, apart from the first bend bunching in heat 9. The combination of a referee who kept things moving and a good track meant that the meeting was done and dusted in one hour twenty minutes. Much appreciated by the fans standing out in the cold.
Bagpuss
You'd imagine that Belle Vue would be one of the most attractive fixtures, hopefully the West Ham home game was the main reason for the small crowd and that things pick up. Don't think the Colts will be the only team to struggle a bit around the tight Purfleet turns this year.
cityrebel
Jon Cook said in his programme notes last night, that the fans need to support the club at a time when it's needed the most. A bit ominous after only a couple of home meetings.
