Sings4Speedway
Its 4 matches, regardless of the home/away ratio. With one alteration: it's R/R for Kelsey. Cheers. Works nicely for Eastbourne then as Brennan won't get a new average until June (possibly end of June depending when the Kings Lynn match is rearranged). there are some posters on this thread who need to take a long hard look at themselves, strudwick ffs. anyway back to the thread, narrow win for lynn, eastie are scrap ap at the na People are just pitching names & suggestions after all it is a discussion forum. Plus i haven't heard any suggestions for an unattached 3 pointer who has more Arlington experience than Niall.
Hunters
Cheers. Works nicely for Eastbourne then as Brennan won't get a new average until June (possibly end of June depending when the Kings Lynn match is rearranged). That is not so instead of Stoke May 13th being the 4th League match it moves to KL Home on May 20th just a week later. It actually works against Eastbourne because Tom can take 7 rides in the home match with Kings Lynn when it would have been much better to have them in the away fixture. Moleman27
Seems ridiculous to call it off, they are meant to be one of the best tracks in the country and cant get a meeting on just because of a drizzle of rain and abit of wind.
Halifaxtiger
There isn't even any drizzle nor was any rain predicted at any point. I simply can't believe its been called off.

He's got 3 home meetings left at reserve.
Moleman27
Yep, only advantage is it gives Kelsey more time to recover before the club have to make a decision.
greyhoundp
KL Twitter: With high winds around the stadium + forecasted rain later, we have decided to postpone tonight's meeting to reduce inconvenience for all. First time Iv ever heard of a call off through wind, maybe we will see some Typhoon pics from KL later, I think their may be more to this than meets the eye if KL dont want to ride NL then pull out, and let the riders get some Track time elsewhere. Halifaxtiger
King's Lynn running scared of Eastbourne. Last year they refused to ride 2nd leg of KO Cup and the league match. Now this. Will be interested from anyone living in King's Lynn whether it rains this evening. Came down for this one and I am in King's Lynn now, maybe a couple of miles from the track. Conscious of the weather, I checked forecasts all day yesterday and all day today and nothing more than a minuscule amount was predicted. I saw no rain all the way down, and that when I arrived (about 4pm) did not even wet the pavements. Its now completely dry, with no rain at all. As I said, I simply can't believe this has been called off and it never entered my head that it would be. Frankly, it hasn't been postponed because of the weather. mrss
Kings lynn know it's freezing cold , crowd would be poor, so the came up with a reason to call it off.
Moleman27
Just seen post on Eastbourne twitter and says they are having a spin later, so sounds like maybe still getting some laps as result for making the journey up their.

Isn't it the case that teams who call meetings off unnecessarily are investigated ? Memory serves that Glasgow & Belle Vue were.
mrss
No doubt a few people were planning to go to Lynn tonight. Now they have been let down. Little wonder speedway is on a downward spiral.

As for strong winds....balderdash and piffle, the branches of the trees are hardly moving and my washing was hanging lanky on the line this afternoon. Yes it's blooming cold and there would have been a very small crowd so why not tell the truth instead of inventing weather that isn't here. It's sadly becoming the norm now for Lynn to treat fans like morons. Edited May 3, 2017 by Star Lady

Little wonder speedway is on a downward spiral. Absolutely right. Rain offs when you have travelled are always frustrating but when there is no rain nor was any predicted it becomes infuriating. Simply means I won't go to King's Lynn again for a few seasons. I'm 2 miles from the track and there has been no rain here today, or yesterday. It's sadly becoming the norm now for Lynn to treat fans like morons. Worse, they are taking us for granted. They (and this doesn't just apply to King's Lynn) simply won't learn that while fans will put up with a lot they won't put up with anything. cityrebel
This is the main reason I don't travel long distances anymore, at least if I stay local it doesn't hurt so much when I get kicked up the backside!
teaboy279
What about the riders who would of taken the day off work, as would family and mechanics etc. Lose a days pay for no reason.

There's always a risk that you can lose a meeting because of the weather and I accept that as much as anyone. You're certainly right that its harder to bear when you have travelled a distance, but that's how speedway is. This is different, though. No rain was predicted, it hasn't rained and it isn't going to rain. Absolutely no grounds for calling the meeting off due to the weather at all. I check forecasts constantly in the days up to leaving (and on the day) to ensure that the risk of losing one is minimised. That's how I know that King's Lynn are basically lying about a prediction of rain.
cityrebel
The worrying thing is, buster is the flag bearer for british speedway at the moment. How can he treat the public like this and get away with it.
