BluPanther
Wolves will be the team to beat again this year, with the changes making a decent side into a very good one...

Fourentee
Could of been either or really. I don't think I've seen Jake Allen make a decent start all season so far, but you always feel abit more comfortable with him than Jan and generally normally looks quicker, even though his points tally doesn't show that. I mean that with no disrespect intended to Jan, who put in another good performance tonight and should be praised for that. What happpened when Charles Wright came to grief? I wasn't watching him and just caught him hitting the deck very awkwardly. Glad he was okay as was at full speed at the end of the straight. Thanks for that, appreciated. On Wright, Updates suggested he'd clipped the kickboard. Fixtures, rules, I don't care. Wolverhampton did not beat Somerset tonight. You cut it anyway you like. Tell me I'm wrong, You're wrong. Beowulf
Well done for Wolves for playing the game, but a massive well done for Somerset for moving up. What game ?
False dawn
You're wrong. There ain't many that I would take that from. But you are one. Wolverhampton 3 Somerset 0 Okay? (but I ain't happy)
Beowulf
No, they were sold short. So you're saying that the Somerset fans were short changed, but at the time are suggesting even fewer guest's, which logically speaking would have short changed the fans even more. What exactly do you want ?
Cliffeboy
Very disappointed with tonight's loss tbh. Not quite sure what Gary does now. It seems when one of our riders is off he is awful. Josh is fast becoming the Mario Jirout of this team, he desperately needs back up of some sort. Winning positions being seemingly thrown away during races as well for some reason. I refuse to be too critical cos I'm not there watching and can only be guided by what the Statman puts up, and what my spies tell me, but from the outside looking in clearly something will probably be changed at some point. marge
Good night of racing, definitely not the result I would want, we will get stuffed on Monday. Was hoping that Rohan had sorted his gremlins but again not a good night for him, even worse Paul Starke doesn't seem to be able to get going. Jake Allen looked out of his depth, think it is more to do with the track, My eyes are stinging from all the dust, never known it to be as bad as it has been this year. False dawn
It seems that people are saying that because the rules are the way they are, it is justifiable to have a team turn out with three guests. And I have to justify my objection to this by answering the comment that to prevent Wolverhampton having three guests would somehow short change the Somerset fans. Well forgive me, but I find this a slightly circular argument. We're only here because the rules permit it. It's the rules I object to, not Wolverhampton taking advantage off them. You have to examine the rules in light of what they lead to. Wolverhampton winning tonight only focused the attention on a set of rules that makes no sense. The team they fielded made no sense, win or lose. I look forward to reading the team statistics on the Wolverhampton website! No they didn't. A telling phrase. Period (again)
Perton Wolf
There should be a rule that for whatever reason a team cannot have more than two guests. To have half (well nearly) your side represented by other people's riders ain't good for your own pride. For the home side, well what do they think? Beaten by a group of riders that no way represent the team on the programme. Did Wolverhampton beat Somerset tonight? You tell me.That would be a counterproductive rule, Wolves can't help it if the fixture is arranged on a date like this where riders have meetings elsewhere (especially Poland for Freddie, which as we all know, takes priority whether we like it or not) Masters is an Edinburgh asset Riss was riding in an SGP Qualifier Event Poor fixture planning. False dawn
Hypothetical scenario...... Wolverhampton turn up at Somerset tonight and tell the home team, three of our riders are unavailable but we've got three blokes of about the same talent who are willing to ride for us. Is this allowed, say the home team? Well yes, the rules allow anything. So off we go. Wolverhampton win and all is good. If I was a Somerset fan I might be slightly aggrieved. Non hypothetical scenario..... As a Somerset fan (which I'm not) I would be well p***ed off
Fourentee
There ain't many that I would take that from. But you are one. Wolverhampton 3 Somerset 0 Okay? (but I ain't happy) That was partly because you are wrong, ie Wolverhampton won the meeting, but mostly because it was an easy gag! I do take the point; no-one wants teams full of guests and I rather suspect Wolves would have been more than happy to take that match on with their declared seven. But these are the times. With your proposed two guest rule, which of the three Wolves riders wouldn't qualify for cover? Lindgren (Polish league match), Masters (other club's asset) or Riss (SGP qualifier)? Edit: Your hypothetical scenario makes it sound as if the Wolves riders' absence had come out of the blue which is, of course, not the case. It would hardly have come as a surprise to Somerset. Beowulf
Have we gone top then? Whoop whoop Careful there, Steve. We have had more home matches than away. However, unbeaten at home and 1 away win equals ( in old money) +2 which is the same as Belle Vue ( 2 away wins and 1 home defeat)
